Parents, kids sought in Tampa kidnapping case (anti-government?)

Sheriff's deputies are asking for the public's help to find two children taken from their grandmother's home Wednesday morning.

Authorities say Joshua Hakken came into Patricia Hauser's home, on the 14000 block of Shady Shores Drive, tied her up and took her two grandchildren. Hakken fled the home in Hauser's 2009 silver Toyota Camry.

Authorities are looking for the children, 2-year old Chase and 4-year old Cole Hakken, who could possibly be in a black 2006 GMC pickup with Florida tag BHNV-86 registered to Joshua Hakken. Deputies believe Sharyn Hakken may be with them as well.

Chase Hakken is 3 feet tall, weighs 33 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing pajamas. Cole Hakken is 3 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 44 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes. He was also last seen wearing pajamas.

Both subjects are considered armed and dangerous and according to authorities, are anti-government and have attempted a previous abduction at gun point in Louisiana. Anyone with any information is asked to call 911 or to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200.

“Anti-government” is exceedingly vague, and covers the entire gamut from left to right.

It could refer to anything from ELF-types to those involved in the Sovereign Citizen movement or White Nationalist/Christian Identity militias.

The article is not specific as to what “anti-government” means. Shoddy reporting, in my view. If the perps are involved with ELF, then say so....likewise, if they’re part of the SC movement or WN or CI movement, say so.

Personally, I wouldn’t turn in a parental ‘kidnapper’ unless I had substantial reason to believe it was warranted (i.e., something beyond the gov’t merely saying so).

“Both subjects are considered armed and dangerous and according to authorities, are anti-government and have attempted a previous abduction at gun point in Louisiana.”

Could the media please explain what makes them “armed and dangerous” simple because they possessed weapons while trying to recover their own children?

A google search brings up a marijuana arrest in Louisiana for the dad as well a forum post on Adam Kokesh’s website referencing Alex Jones videos (also states former USAF).

I couldn’t find anything on the mom, which makes one wonder why custody was placed with the grandmother instead of left with the mother?

If she was also arrested, why is there no record? If the mom was passed over due to drugs, criminality or mental illness her name should pop up in public records (like the dad’s did).

Unless she is/was in the military and deployed at the time of the dad’s arrest... which is how the kids got placed at Grandmas and a possible custodial conflict might ensue.

Thats sort of what I am guessing...there is a cps “order” involved for some reason.

So, if CPS decided that the parents were not suitable parents, removed the kids and gave them to the grandparents, there must be moe to this story.

Were the CPS agents in charge left wing lezzies that hate whitey?

By itself, CPS can turn otherwise normal people into “anti-government” activists.

What crime did the parents commit? Did they try to start a business without the proper permits?

Did the parents make meth or sell drugs?

There is a reason that the grandparents asked for custody of these children.

“Both subjects are considered armed and dangerous and according to authorities”

Probably just a CCW holder or purchased a gun once. Maybe the grandmother said he touched a gun once in his life.

Or, maybe they are considered "armed and dangerous" because they "have attempted a previous abduction at gun point in Louisiana."

Everyone in my office just received an alert about this on our cell phones. Structured as an amber alert.

If you configure alerts on your phone you also see the option for Presidential Alert, which cannot be turned off.

http://oregonfamilyrights.com/christines/history.html

Back in 2002 a Christian home-schooling family had troubles with the police and CPS while driving through Oregon in their motorhome. Brian and Ruth Christine. Really sad. And it went from bad to worse when the parents took their kids at gunpoint (no shots fired) from the CPS workers during one of their visits with the kids.

Mom and dad are STILL in prison IIRC, and the kids are with the grandparents I believe.

Boycott BayNews 9 for even printing a story like this where they are very obviously leaving out important details to suit their own agenda.

The “anti-government” tag might cue-in use of DHS drones -for the children of course.

It’s not just BN9. Local Fox, ABC, and NBC affiliates are using the same language.

Oops. On the Christine story, Ruth has been out since 2009 and the kids are living with her in her native country of Great Britain. Brian was JUST released last month.

To collect child support from the parents?

I'm amazed at freepers saying they'd be first to aid and abet these parents and whining about the phrase "antigovernment" while completely ignoring the previous abduction attempt.

Amber Alert just popped up on my celphone. Says the vehicle is a “black GMC”, but the plate is FL U95KT.

Vehicle match is a stretch, and the plate is wrong.

I am assuming that the person who took the children is their father and that the woman thought to be with the man and the children in their mother. I am also assuming that the grandmother had legal custody of the tots. Should not have to assume anything about such basic facts.

Very poorly written. What in the name of pete do these journo-listers study in their writing classes?
