nice to see “unexpectedly” used in a title other than an AP
economic propaganda piece.

thanks

A bit out of season, but his rendition of Angels We have Heard On High, is the standard by which any other performance of that song should be judged.

I would have loved to have been at that Mass!

The first time my daughter sang Panis Angelicus (in high schoo) at Mass, the presiding priest sat there with tears streaming down his face. (Me too, because I had never heard her sing it before — she’d prepared it at school.) It turned out to be the Fr. Galla’s late mother’s favorite song.

received a standing ovation

And during Holy Communion, no less. Obscenely irreverent and disrespectful to The Host.

This is how a beloved performer becomes legendary.

Coolness. We had an unexpected musical number too. A phone’s ringtone of Lil Wayne or something like that. (Wife did sing though which was nice).

I heard part of his performance on the little window at the link (scroll down, on left). If there was a more complete one on the bigger screen at the top, I couldn't bring it up.

I wish I had been there in person to hear him. He sounded wonderful....he was in the right place to do justice to his powerful voice.

Actually, he was told and believed that he was on stage at La Scala!
