There’s only one relevant question:
Did the cops then shoot the dog?
;-)

No problem. Just send the bill to the dog’s insurance company. (Maybe this is why they eat dogs where Obama comes from?)

This is probably not the first time something like this has happened.

Did the dog have his driver’s license on him and did he have any priors?

What kind of reporting is this? They didn’t even say how fast (mph) the car was going at the time. (sarc)
(From the article)
Police say the unnamed pedestrian tried to stop the car before it hit a parked truck, but was unsuccessful and was caught between the two vehicles. He hit his head, fell to the ground and was found unconscious.
He (the pedestrian) hit his head, is somewhat different from ‘run over by the car’.

Will he be tried as an officer, given that he is an “officer of the law” and not a “mere dog”, which we lowly citizens own?

I figure this sort of thing is why you have to press the brake pedal now before shifting out of Park.

Gee, I wonder what will happen if I stand between two vehicles, one of which is moving directly towards the other. The Laws of Physics won’t apply here, right? Right?

I guess it was inevitable, but he was never off his leash.

Cuomo, hearing of this, wanting to be the first to ACT, and his NY State Legislature at midnight, hurriedly rushed and passed the SADE ACT [Siccum ARF Doggie Enforcement] without any input from the general dog population. In their haste. they included also all K-9 police dogs which now cannot be allowed to drive patrol cars under this new law. The cops are angry over this restriction on their charges who could drive the patrol car if the officer is in trouble...
NY State will now require all dogs:
1. to pass eye exams at NYSDMVD [NY State Doggie Motor Vehicle Dept
2. take driving tests to obtain canine Learner`s permits.
3. be Paw-printed
4. be subject for doggie intoxicated nasty gooey bad breath alcohol testing while driving [DINGBBAT]
5. Be restricted to only 7 doggie bones per box per vehicle
6. Must wait 30 days for clearing in the national unlicensed tentative selective doggie driver database [NUTSDDD]
7. Will not be allowed to barktext other dogs while driving
ARFBARF!

My dog locked me out of my car a few years back...she would always jump into the front seat when I left her in the car to do shopping....I forgot to take the keys out of the ignition one time and while in the front seat, she locked the door jumping on it....called the police and before they showed up I got the dog excited and she jumped onto the window again, this time unlocking the door just as the police pulled up....they got a laugh at how I got the door unlocked.....Never forgot to take the keys with me after that....

How did the dog manage to put its foot on the break while putting the car in drive? Isn’t that what you have to do on all cars now?
