New York fashion blogger Brittny Pierre is not ashamed to admit that she had gone out on dozens of dates with men for the sole purpose of getting a square meal.
Pierre, who has been writing for Village Voice Media and a hip hop website, made the confession in a piece written in the first person that appeared on the feminist blog XOJane this week.
The woman detailed how she would meet her 'victims' on the dating site OKCupid and through Craigslist, and would go out for dinner three times a week with different men, allowing them to foot the bill every time.

Yes, in principle.
Even marrying for money can be little different from prostitution.
But there are distinctions, which is why there is a different word for street-walkers.

Love is a battlefield.
She isn’t really doing anything wrong, but why would she want to? She has to go out with men, just to get a free meal? How broke is she? A meal isn’t some big payout prize. She isn’t really getting anything “free”. She still has to sit with men, waste her time listening to them talk about obnoxious things, they may be a loudmouth, he may not be particularly attractive, he might smell bad etc. That’s almost like having a bad job, for a small payout. She could be hanging out with friends, people she really wants to hang out with.
It’s similar to going over to relatives house during the holidays to get a free meal. a large portion of people don’t want to.
In fact, I don’t even have HAPetitus.

I had to obtain some field work in Nye Co. NV this week and while looking for a vendor in google ran across a legal brothel.
Of course I went to google maps street scene. The place looks like a SC truck stop, only instead of fireworks they sell women.

You are either so uninformed as to what prostitution actually is - an ignorance not excusable in an adult person - or else you are just being amoral and crass.
Prostitution is a form of slavery, and it degrades all women, including your mother, sister and ten year old daughter. It means that men are permitted to see women as objects, and not as people whose company is enjoyable and uplifting.
When a woman sells herself as a commodity, it means she must do whatever the purchaser wants - even if it is an act so loathesome and diagusting that if you read about it it would make you vomit. The men who buy sex do so nor because it is ”easier” than springing for dinner, etc, but because what they want is to experience the sensation of power and control over another person, and because what they want to do is something so vile that no normal woman would consent to it. These are men who don’t want to show any consideration, thought, or appreciation for a woman’s feelings or needs - they just want to use her as a means of self gratification.
I feel sorry for you, for what you have revealed about yourself, because anyone who could write what you wrote is either clueless or does not have the capacity to respect and value women.

Some indication that I wasn't being played for a lunch ticket. Like maybe her offering to share the cost of the meals, or maybe a thank you or a small gift or some other hint that my generosity wasn't being squandered on a woman who was little better than a prostitute.

Fact is, what two consenting adults choose to transact between themselves should be their own business and no concern of the law. Just as Prohibition turned the distribution of liquor into a criminal enterprise dominated by bootleggers and other unsavory types, the prostitution laws have given rise to pimps and other lowlife.
When a vice is in demand, it will be provided no matter how many laws are put on the books. Liquor, gambling and sex are three products that will always be in demand no matter how much society tries to stamp them out through their laws.
In fact, making these products illegal creates an underground economy with vast untaxed profits. This lures in organized criminals who specialize in bootlegging, loan sharking, numbers rackets, prostitution, etc. Since there is no redress in our court systems (as the activities are illegal), disputes are settled with bullets instead of lawsuits.
