Up till now, Star Trek Into Darkness has promised us lots of destruction and mayhem, but this new trailer promises us something different: a Kirk who's on a tear, and a villain who's genuinely affronted by Kirk's actions.

Yes! I guess CK is still around 200 years from now.
The trailer looked like good old-fashioned space opera: high adventure, epic battles, etc.
I look forward to seeing this latest installment....it looks pretty good.
Into darkness...we seem to be living that now. Obama doing a pretty good job.
I haven’t seen I Claudius in years. Maybe time to check out amazon and get a copy.
Here's the direct link to the trailer and I'd rather watch a Star Trek remake of Skyfall than The Living Daylights or The Man with the Golden Gun.
Sad thing is since his character had no emotion and really never interacted socially with women, it’s not that much of a leap.
Especially with a Michael Giacchino soundtrack.
Well, there is that seven-year thing Vulcans go through.
Ahhh...you have seen “Galaxy Quest”...:)
Well, those people should be happy, too. I spied a conference room in that preview.
Derek Jacobi is gay ? But he’s so virile, so macho...
I was a bit reluctant to, but I watched the trailer. It looks like Earth is a cross between the remake of “Lost In Space” and Coruscuant in “Star Wars” (with a little bit of “Blade Runner’s” Los Angeles thrown in for good measure, albeit everything as clean and sterile as a Canadian city).
The helicopter shooting out the conference room is a rip-off of the scene in “The Godfather III.” And destroying the Enterprise AGAIN ? Ramming it into Alcatraz and then taking out bunches of San Francisco skyscrapers ? Whut ?
I was just waiting for the Stay Puft marshmallow man to show up, but this time shooting laser beams from his cold, dead eyes.
Call it what you will, but this will never be Star Trek.
Just got through watching Shogun that we got from Amazon
Gonna have get I Claudius too.
It’s been confirmed that it is not the Enterprise crashing into Alcatraz and then into San Francisco Bay. It is a different starship with different wider nacelle pylons.
Have a look at a shot by shot analysis of the new trailer.
Yes, but I think it exploded. That's how you satisfy both audiences!
Anything to do with Spok fudge packing? :/
Spock being a cross of two different species, human, vulcan he would probably be sterile. :o)
Could be, but he also practiced Pon Far, so he did try. ;-)
I don’t know but would never tell if I did..
Leonard Nimoy is not Spock.
