By DAN CALABRESE - Can Karl Rove recognize when someone does the right thing?
Sigh. More unpleasant words are being exchanged between Sarah Palin and Karl Rove - a battle that creates headlines for a gleeful MSM and does little to advance the cause of anyone who might be in a position to solve this nation's problems.
And yes, Palin did sort of start it by taking a shot at Rove, and at consultants in general, in her CPAC speech. The man who helped prevent Al Gore and John Kerry from becoming president has become quite the whipping boy among conservative activists for his perceived determination to prevent "true conservatives" from getting nominated for just about any office. I actually think Rove's intention is to keep the Christine O'Donnells and Sharron Angles of the world from turning winnable races into trainwrecks, but he loses me when he takes the cheapest of shots at Palin, as he did when he said this on Fox News Sunday: I dont think Im a good candidate - kind of a balding, fat guy. And second, if I did run for office and win, I would serve out my term, and I wouldnt leave office midterm.
Argh. Let's review:

The man who made Obama president and Nancy Pelosi House speaker. Rove's purpose is to wipe every moderate and conservative from the political world.
FU Karl! Smiley bassturd!
This is what happens when a party is split and there’s no reason to get on the same message. In the overall scheme it doesn’t amount to anything either way.
Clash of egos.
To me, Rove has never been a surprise.
Yep, just like Rove himself: tired and cheap. Meh. Go home, Rove. Tell your mother she wants you.
elengr likes this message. :)
Calm down. Stop projecting. LOL
**If you are trying to insinuate that Governor Palin** doesn’t have an ego? LOL
Rove, will be surprised. Maybe. Good
I’ll say this,if the House/Senate just cave in immigration, won’t even attempt to defund Obamacare, and just end up as Dem-lite, Pelosi will be speaker in 2015.
It will be a serious bloodbath.
The only way to get these guys attention is to beat them in the primaries. Time to whack-a-mole.
I don’t do bandwagons. Whore whomever you want. Carry on. Meh.
For the naive. Maybe. Not so good for the steep learning curve this party has been on for too long. D.F.T.P.C. ;)
Okay, Daffynition- what is “D.F.T.P.C.;)”... I am naive. Can handle steep learn curve. Maybe.
LOL on you. You got caught dead to rights.
Palin is one of the few unabashedly conservative voices we have on the right. It's a slam on her character to say that the tiff she and Rove are having is a "clash of egos".
Are you a joker? Rove & company hate S.Palin with all their puny, little hearts. Thing is, Gov. Sarah Palin is not the answer, to correcting our path. Great guide light, though.
Strange question, considering my comment. No, I'm not a joker, and yes, I'm fully aware of the disdain with which Rove, the RINOs, and the left hold Governor Palin.
Gov. Sarah Palin is not the answer, to correcting our path.
I've never understood why some people mistake admiration and real affinity for Governor Palin as some sort of weird cult worship. No one individual has the power to correct the course of the nation, but there are a few who possess leadership traits that are so strong, that they have the potential to act as a force multiplier in a worthy cause or battle.
History is replete with examples of such people. I believe Sarah Palin to be one of those remarkable few. Not counting you in this number, but I also believe that there are many people who simply don't recognize that rare sort of greatness when they see it.
Unfortunately, most people only realize the potential of things after they've witnessed them unfold.
