Meh. Is it really “the strongest” or just over-roasted like that StarBucks feces?

Which is probably a tad weaker than Community Dark Roast.

Oh I don't know if that's the strongest. I once attended a weekend long event at the Coast Guard Academy in New London. Waking up early, I wandered into the kitchen in search of a cup of coffee. The cooks directed me to a large tank and I poured myself a cup. Took one sip and lightning bolts flew out of my fingertips and eyeballs.

Those cookies laughed and laughed and then told me that they brew coffee 4X strong and then water it down in order to cut down on the brewing time necessary to serve thousands of cups at a time. The rest of that day was somewhat...electric.

turkish coffee is pretty strong.
just going by taste doesn’t mean it is highly caffeinated.

Espresso is weaker than drip. It’s an “urban myth” that espresso is stronger.

In espresso, there is less time where water is contacting the grounds, doing the caffeine extraction than drip. (that’s the espress/express part).

Beans are often washed prior roasting so that must be where this coffee maker preserves caffeine.

But I bet this still tastes like burnt rubber - ala Starbutts.

I may want to try some. I’ll go find out how much it costs before I get too excited. I may have to wait for a “special occasion.”

It sounds good, though....

Double the strength of an espresso

Not impressive at all. It's like saying Joe has double the strength of five-year-old Timmy. Espresso is NOT highly caffeinated, but that's the common misconception.

Yes, it’s strong. I have a bag of it.
Doesn’t taste unusual (not great but not bad) but I can’t finish a cup, where it usually takes 3 cups before I start sensing jitters. And I’m a 2-cups-a-day coffee snob.
Calling it “Death Wish” is overstating the case, but no question it’s got unusually high caffeine levels.

On their website (Death Wish Coffee), the price is $19.99/lb ground or whole bean.

[About $1.20 per ounce]

For comparison, Eight O’Clock Coffee (100% Arabica/Columbian ground) on Amazon is $14.94 for the 33 oz (2-lb 1-oz) or about $7.24 per pound or 45-cents per ounce.

Welldoggies! I’ll have to make sure it’s a VERY special occasion before I buy that coffee. I balk and complain when paying $8.69 +/- .30 at Walmart for 12 oz. of Millstone Chocolate Velvet coffee... Which is excellent with chocolate raspberry creamer, if you can find it.
