It does look like Obama. Either it was coincidental and they didn’t pick him because he looked like Obama or they did it deliberately. Hilarious, though.
Barry just needs a hoodie, and they’d be spitting images.
They just picked someone who would look evil and scary. Since Obama was re-elected, he wasn’t available for the part.
Was the resemblance first commented upon by someone objecting to it, or by someone celebrating it?
I don’t know.
The left wanted an obama look alike to play the part of the Messiah, when that part comes up.
The Devil himself!
I had a quick look at Wikipedia concerning Roma Downey and Mark Burnett and found some unexpected information. According to the Wikipedia article, Ms. Downey is a 'devout Catholic', however this is her third marriage. She was married to Leland Orser from 1987-1989, then married to David Anspaugh from 1995-1998 and is now married to Mark Burnett from 2007. I thought that the Roman Catholic faith would not re-marry divorced people and would not allow them to partake of the Eucharist. Before anyone flames me, I am not criticizing Ms. Downey & Mr. Burnett but merely commenting, as I have do not know the state of their hearts.
More disturbing is the fact that this latest marriage was officiated by Della Reese (who played 'Tess', Roma's 'boss' in Touched by an Angel). Della Reese is "an ordained New Thought minister in the Understanding Principles for Better Living Church". (Wikipedia) This 'church' IS NOT Bible-based, so I have some concerns about Mark and Roma's slant on the Bible. It is good that the mini-series has come to TV and hopefully this will challenge many people to read the book and attend a Bible-believing church.
I heard a review of the first part of the mini-series on the Pirate Christian Radio website which was hyper-critical of The Bible mini-series. The show called Fighting for The Faith featured Chris Rosebrough who, while presenting some valid comments, presented them in such a way as to be VERY un-Christ like. We are to correct and admonish fellow Believers in a loving, not a cynical and critical way; something Mr. Rosebrough might be wise to remember. Cynicism and hyperbole are not the Master's way.
Overall, it is good that The Bible was made and I am glad that it is successful financially. I hope that it attracts non-Believers enough to open the book and read the TRUE Bible and then find a Bible-believing church to grow their faith..
Is there Hollywood in it? Yep. Is it perfect? Nope.
But, is it the telling of the stories. Yes, it is.
I’m sure you’re right, but I don’t remember seeing him. Maybe I missed it, or maybe they didn’t focus for long on his face.
Leftists are complaining? : )
Very good! LOL!
Let’s see...one of them is an egomaniac who lies, hates God, hates Israel, wants a culture of death and has a secret desire for world domination. The other one is Satan.
Same here. I’ve been seeing a lot here badmouthing this series. I think it’s been great. The wife is already all over me to pick up the Blu-Ray on April 2nd. LOL! Yes honey!
LOL.
Satan IS Obama, wearing his son’s hoodie.
