If the Higgs boson is, as we’ve been told, THE definitive or “GOD” particle, then how is it that it only helps them understand and doesn’t completely answer the question of how the universe came to be. Is there another particle yet to be found which will supersede the “ultimate” one?

Oh... never mind. My dyslexic brain thought it said “Big Bosoms”...
A bunch of “scientist” scouring over data to *find* what no one can see? And they FOUND it??? SHAZAM!!!

This morning, I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas, I’ll never know.

Your comment makes more sense to me than the article.

Heisenberg says are you sure? "They're still trying to get the box open" said Professor Schroedinger...

"helping them explain why the universe is the way it is".
oh that explains a lot(sarcasm). Also depends on what the definition of is is.
This bs article doesn't say anything . these morons know nothing.

Forget the “god” particle nonsense, it’s just sensationalism. This is just another particle, it isn’t the ultimate anything.

And you
know not to mess with Heisenberg! :P

Must be time to submit the multi-billion dollar budget for their collided. “we think we found it, if you give us $5 billion more, we will KNOW we found it”

The Higgs is no more a God particle than any other particle. The name was a marketing gimmick for a book title and the press has run with it ever since.

Also, Higgs actually objects to people calling it the “God particle”

Who would have guessed? The Higgs-Boson was in the last place they looked.

From another article:
"But the two experiments, CMS and ATLAS, hadn't collected enough data to say the particle was, for sure, the Higgs boson, the last undiscovered piece of the puzzle predicted by the Standard Model, the reigning theory of particle physics.

Why does matter have mass? Isnt this like asking why does whiteness have white in it? In other words, why does matter have inertia, and generates gravity.
