From what I understand:

DH signed a contract to be an actor on a staged show and pretend to all it isn’t staged. Like an aide on a magic show.

He then exposed the magician’s secrets AND sued the magician for fooling the audience!

Do I have this right?

His case is pretty weak seeing that he appeared in 61 episodes before claiming the show was staged. And he only brought allegations after he got tossed off the show.

At least all the shows on TruTV are tru. It even says so in the channel name. /sarc

We watch Hardcore Pawn sometimes and I will point out how the surprise insane person who is removed by security and leaves screaming and pulling off clothes in the parking lot has a mic pack taped to their back. How big was the surprise if the sound guy had to do that beforehand?

There is a VERY long contract one must sign to appear on a “reality” show. My daughter was a finalist on Nashville Star a few years back and I had her entertainment attorney scrutinize theirs. Non-disclosure, etc. I knew it wasn’t real when Miley Cyrus’ boyfriend at the time was brought in last minute without auditioning like the others had to.

I have been buying & selling for 25 years now and Dave Hester is just another a$$hat dealer. I have dealt with a lot of greedy jerks just like Hester through the years. He derailed his own gravy train.
