Cat cuddles are the best medicine! Just ask Nellie, a senior dog who was rescued by Animal Friends of Japan back in November.
According to the organizations Facebook page, Nellie had been lying by the side of the road for two days before she was found and rescued. We gave her a bath and discovered she had badly infected wounds on her leg and stomach. We think she was hit by a car, the page explains.
Shelter vets went about working on Nellies wounds and nursing her back to health. But some other new friends also felt they needed to assist in her recovery. A couple of resident cats at the shelter took it upon themselves to snuggle up to Nellie, giving her some much needed comfort.
Apparently some other cats didnt want to be left out and also joined the snuggle fest. Soon there was always several different cats cuddled up with Nellie!
The shelter reported that Nellie was well on her way to recovery and, even better, on her way to her forever home with a couple happy and willing to take in the sweet senior dog.
They do. Glad you liked.

Great video!
Not sayin this one's so 'cute', lol.
Thanks Joe, interesting to read all of the posts as to ‘why’ they might do that...
Pro-Feline propaganda!
I will not be swayed!
Thank you to Everyone for the Cute Pics and Posts.
You’re trying to brainwash me with kittens.
It won’t....
(Look at the cute kitty!)
One of us! One of us! One of us...
Never. I’ll never turn to the dark side.
You want to pet them, don't you? The desire to hold them is swelling in you now.
He *thought* he had me, once.
;D
You might be right.
The cat we briefly had despised the dogs and the ONLY time she ever ‘cuddled’ one was the day we had the vet come to put poor old suffering Pookie to rest.
That cat glommed onto her like a leech.
Creepy.
Yep.
My former cat kept trying to make friends with my 7’ foot Boa whenever Bob was lounging in his ‘snake tree’.
The Boa was quite “interested” in him, too.
Heh heh heh.
Typical liberal kitteh.
Thinks nothing of walking all over others for its own gain.
;)

Uhoh. Sounds like the Circle of Life intervened.
I take it Bob was rather pleased with himself afterward.
Oh heck no.
The cat now lives with a friend who works at PetCo.
He got the boot after he scratched Kelly, one of my Ball Pythons on the face.
Wretched little hell spawn was hateful to all my other pets.
I couldn’t bring Odin into the bedroom for movie nights because the cat would try to ‘act tough’ and I’d have to spend the whole time keeping the dog from eating him.
Too stressful.
Cat had no concept of gratitude whatsoever.
