-NYPD shot and killed a 16-year-old gunman after police say he pointed a gun at officers -- Teenager was spotted by anti-crime patrol officers in an unmarked police car-- Officers saw the teenager fidgeting with his waistband as he walked away from the group of men-- When police approached to speak with the young man, cops say he turned on them and aimed a .357 caliber revolver at them--

A teenager in New York City was shot and killed by undercover police last night after they say he pointed a gun at them. Kimani Gray, 16, was shot in the leg and stomach when he pulled out a .357 revolver in East Flatbush, Brooklyn

Police say they came across a group of young men on Saturday evening when Gray began walking away from his friends as he saw police arrive. Officers say the 16-year old began to adjust his waistband and started to act suspiciously. Gray then turned around and pointed a .357 caliber gun at them. When the two plainclothes officers saw the weapon they responded by opening fire and shot him.

Well, this is my kinda gun control. Although I am sure this upstanding "sweet, kindhearted boy" had absolutely no bad intentions with a .357 in his waist. Stupid stupid stupid- point a gun at cops... may as well shoot yourself. Let's see... how can I comment without bringing out the "that's racist!" brigade?

Nope, I'm stumped.

The "safety curve" of NY just clicked over one notch with this thug-in-training removed from society.

Question: How was the kid to know they were undercover cops when they weren’t in uniform and driving an unmarked car? He could have thought they were drug guys or other gang members. Just saying.

My guess is anybody new in that neighborhood is probably an undercover cop or buying drugs.

What’s interesting is that when this kind of stuff happens liberals again focus on something that has absolutely nothing to do with it. They’ll blame “police brutality” or “guns” but not the fact that a kid is out during a school night with a freakin’ gun. Umm, where’s the parents? (or probably parent in this case). That get’s completely and utterly ignored just like they ignore the fact that the majority of mass shootings are done by the mentally ill. These are the kind of people who blame bars or booze when someone drives drunk and kills somebody. And they wonder why the lawsuits are out of control in New York. Nobody has any responsibility, it’s all the fault of objects and evil corporations.

I thought guns were pretty much effectively banned in NYC. Did Bloomberg not get the word out to those in Brooklyn??

That was my first though when I read that the car was unmarked.

It would be one thing if the cops turned on the car's lights and siren as they pulled up.

But if the undercover car just screeched to a stop, then a couple of burly men in civilian clothes jumped out and began running towards the gunman, well then, that would be something else.

The real winners are the future victims of this social parasite. Of course, judging by his actions, with his mentality, it was just a matter of time anyway.

If he was 45 or white no one would care. But because he was 16 it is now a tradgedy that liberals must cry about. Conservatives have been telling them the answer for years but they won’t listen. So I don’t care anymore.

The kid was on his way to turn that gun in, I am sure. Because it would be illegal for him to have it, dontcha know. And he surely wouldn’t want to break the law.
