Ashley Judd has been making the political rounds as the Democratic actress reportedly contemplates a run against Republican Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell in 2014.
As she considers a run against McConnell, the Senate minority leader, Judd has reportedly been meeting with deep-pocketed donors in her home state of Kentucky. She also made a trip to Washington, D.C. last week.

Well why the heck not! I mean if Al Frankin can be a Senator, anyone can!

So has Arnold Schwarzennegar

Barack Obama was.
That only counts against you if you are running as a Republican.
Hollywood: the natural training ground for dem. candidates.
Transparency, you wanted it, here it is.
She has nothing to hide. ;>)
Boy, one look at her wiki page, and it’s obvious she’s just another left-wing lunatic. I hope her run for U.S. Senate in Kentucky is unsuccessful.
They are smelling a likely Tea Part challenge against McConnell and think they might be able to beat a divided Republican party. They are probably right on both counts. I’d still vote Tea Party though. We have to stop letting the need for unity force us to cave in to the old guard. They need to start yielding to us instead.
The one thing that concerns me about her running in Kentucky is her fanatical support of UK basketball. It matters in that state.
You'd probably be voting for someone supported by the Dems then.
They've already said they're going to give lots of money to the McConnell primary challenger.
I’m a voter in Kentucky and I can vouch for your statement. A lot of conservatives are tired of Milktoast Mitch and Democrats know it. She could actually pull this off, unfortunately.
But she is wildly anti-coal.
That doesn’t play well in Ky despite her love of the Wildcats.
She’s a disgusting and hateful woman.

They seem to take pleasure in knowing more babies will die because Santorum dropped out of the race.
She hasn’t made a movie in almost ten years and just split with her race-car-driver husband, so hey, why not run for the Senate? It beats dressing as a giant vagina in those abortion rallies.
Guess she’s lost the Louisville Cardinals crowd’s votes.
