Bloomberg's soda ban prohibits 2-liter bottles with your pizza

Take a big gulp, New York: Hizzoner is about to give you a pop.

Nanny Bloomberg unleashes his ban on large sodas on March 12 — and there are some nasty surprises lurking for hardworking families.

Say goodbye to that 2-liter bottle of Coke with your pizza delivery, pitchers of soft drinks at your kid’s birthday party and some bottle-service mixers at your favorite nightclub.

-snip-

Typically, a pizzeria charges $3 for a 2-liter bottle of Coke. But under the ban, customers would have to buy six 12-ounce cans at a total cost of $7.50 to get an equivalent amount of soda.

We are stupid sheep. We let the government tell us what kind of toilets we can have, what kind of light bulbs, what size soda. Next we will let them tell us what kind of weapons we can have and let them come into our homes to check them.

How do we stop this???

A bigger business with a good lawyer could profit handsomely from ignoring this edict, investing the money and going to court with a jury.

Might set a prescient.

Good. Maybe it will make people think twice about voting for him next time. The guy is clearly a doosh but the people hurt most are the ones who voted for him. I almost wish Obama came up with this so that his voters would be feeling some pain. So far Obama voters have been getting a free ride. I can’t wait for the day that stops.

Actually, here’s the business model.

You start a web-site in New York City called “Illegal Sodas”, and take orders via the internet. You have a dozen small vans roaming the city with 2-liter soda bottles. You have the employees dressed in uniforms with “Bloomberg Rules” written all over them. You base the company and web-site out of Sandy Hook, New Jersey...just to bring the profits to the right people.

Don’t worry about the cops....they won’t waste a minute going after you. Fancy lawyers? They’d have to find the vans and get cops to arrest people. That won’t happen. You will make sale after sale. Figure at least a million in profit after two weeks.

I see a solution, here. Since carbonated, bottled water is not prohibited, give them that, and the soft drink syrup to put in it separately. Also, diet sodas are not limited either, so give them a non-sweetened diet soda and sugar syrup to sweeten it with.

I'm waiting for MA to follow Doomberg so I can do just that.

Originally I was going to open the transfat store, but I like your idea better.

“How do we stop this???”

Enact a ‘NO DONUT RULE’ in NYC and watch the NYPD tar & feather this Totalitarian idiot.

NYC is being used as a test market to see just how much the American people will take before they revolt. So far, it’s showing that the folks in NYC share 99.9% of their DNA with sheep.

Am amazed - not perhaps - that New Yorker's have not stepped up and 'pushed back' on Bloomberg! Would think by now; there would be enough names on a petition to recall this pathetic excuse for Leadership. But no; not even that.

Altogether; a dismal look, into our future. (IF. . .)

No question what political correctness does to one's mind; perceptions; judgment; and ability to defend oneself. And this is the ONLY reason; it was introduced by the Left; by way of every MO possible. Just like 'gun control' is NOT about the children; PC was never about. . .making 'nice'.

It may be too late for these people to 'snap out of it'; but am hoping; nonetheless; that they will. On behalf of all of us. . .

NYC is the example proving people were never meant to be next to and on top of .. each other.

GOD gave us a Garden ... not a city.

Men have ever been trying to re-arrange God's perfect plan for man.

my pre-written response to all things Bloomberg:

Bloomers is a Crony-capitalist, nebbish, poor little rich boy, self hating jew, tiny buttwipe of a man...the only reason he is probably not a fag (the jury is still out) is that he has the greatest aphrodisiac of all time, billions of dollars....he decries the 2nd amendment, but whines about how the enemy’s first amendment rights to worship are being usurped....even though Islam is NOT a religion but a murder cult.....and dont get me started on salt, transfats, cigarettes and sugar

And don't forget another totalitarian nightmare being fashioned. Refuse this and 'go to jail':

[[Why would the federal government grant millions and millions of our tax dollars to companies to develop Smart Meters for utilities, water, electric, and gas? And then spend more millions on propaganda to tell us we must stop or reduce using fossil fuels and water? And then spend more millions of dollars to set up regional bureaucratic boards under the “Sustainable Communities Initiative,” boards that are designed to regulate water use, land use, and fuel use in these extra-jurisdictional regions? Why?]]

The power is in the ballot box; and of course; those who count the votes (unfortunately, now; endemic threat). But if 'enough' numbers; and enough 'bold'; we can turn this around. Just one, freaking, big 'IF'. . .
