What is pushing people over the limit is their self-absorbtion. Some people, especially if they are used to getting their own way all the time, don’t learn to be tolerant during the times when they cannot get their way and they react, like this guy reacted.
If I had witnessed some guy slapping a 19 month old toddler and using a racial slur, I'm pretty sure I would've been charged with very aggravated assault in response...
Guy slapped a baby that is only now learning the first two words they always learn “no and mamma”.

Ther’ye babies, not brats and the pressure in their ears, created by the pressurizaion of the cabin, is very painful, as they have not learned how to equalize their inner ear.
I can’t stand being around high pitched kids at dinner and expect their parents to exert discipline instead of making the rest of uncomfortable.
My Dad only gave us two shots before we’d all leave the restaurant....hungry. Didn’t last long. My Dad was a sucker for his kids and would always ensure we had something to eat before bed and he’d tell us one his scary stories or the ones that always made us laugh.
Never once got spanked by him(that is a longer story).
But, hell this a baby and 60 year old man ought to be able to recognize babies will be babies and there ain’t much you can do about them.
They cry, they shriek, make funny noises and laugh. Love their laugh.
You don’t call anyone a N***ger, much less a baby child.

Still, absolutely no excuse for WHAT he did, but maybe the reason for WHY he did it.
The cause being that the old society and its rules have collapsed leaving people at sea. The early anthropologist Pitt Rivers described a little culture that died out when its cultural rules were forcibly changed. The people of that culture simply died.
If he’s REALLY a CEO, then he has other travel options.
Nowhere do I read that others witnessed the events and other than the black lady claiming the offenses (slapping and using racial slurs.)
I am finding more and more, that I require actual witnesses (more than one and not those of same skin color as the offended person) as skin color does seem to come into play more and more with the result of our "racial healing" President, before I decide that after reading of a so-called physical or verbal abuse by one person against another, be guilty.
After having been seated with a screaming 3 year old, whose mother was a few rows and across the aisle from me with a newborn baby, I understand the extreme frustration with adults not agreeing to sign on to care for screaming babies or children, merely to travel from one part of the country to another.
Of course, that 3 year old should only be seated next to his mother by the airlines but in their wisdom, decide not to, then to subject other passengers to care for the toddler, is outrageous!
Lastly, though I totally understand the cause of pain inflicted on babies and little children, passengers can only tolerate so much regardless of the amount of patience, though never to physical assault anyone under any condition, I'm still looking for witnesses to affirm the actual assault.
If this is true, the guy is an idiot.
On another subject, another reason I’ll never fly again is I don’t know who sat in the seat before me. It could very well have been a baby who crapped in his diaper.

Flying ia a painful experience for small children, and small children who cry on airline flights are not “brats.” Frankly, I feel like slapping the bejeebers out of anyone who describes them as such.
