Sarah Palin turns 49 years old today, still relatively young and poised for the third act of her public life, whatever she chooses for that to be. Act I: Ambitious young woman rises through the ranks in local Alaskan politics to become the state's youngest governor (and first female governor). Picked in 2008 as the unconvential running mate for Republican John McCain's presidential bid. Her presence on the ticket certainly didn't help McCain, but her image as a folksy soccer mom and an arch-conservative firebrand energizes her own base and she becomes a Tea Party icon. Act II: After McCain's loss in 2008, Palin returns to Alaska and to her job as governor, but her heart isn't in it. Having gotten a taste of the national stage, the idea of running the nation's most remote state no longer excites her. She resigns from that position before her term ends and announces that she has bigger fish to fry. She writes a couple of books, does a couple of reality TV shows, and makes vast sums of money for speeches and TV appearances promoting the Tea Party and conservative causes. She endorses candidates across the country but shows little interest in re-entering the world of politics herself. So now, on her 49th birthday, we await her third act. Will she be content to stay in her current lucrative role of trying to influence those who are actually in power? Or will she at some point - perhaps in 2016 - feel the itch to return to politics and chase after the power herself? The only thing that seems certain at this point is that she has no desire to leave the public eye.

I Love You Sarah!
from Sarah Palin ...
Todd and I are in Dallas today to attend Chris Kyles memorial and funeral service. I find it sad to see that flags arent flying at half staff for this American hero. Were surrounded today by American patriots here in Texas by Chris fellow veterans and active duty warriors. In honor of them, I hope our commander in chief pays his respects in some gesture of condolence for their comrade in arms who sacrificed so much to keep him and all of us safe.
We may never know to what extent Chris kept us free or how many lives he saved by his brave actions in the line of fire. But his fellow warriors know how important he was. My son Track couldnt meet Chris when Todd and I first met him because Track was deployed to Iraq. Then when we got to know Chris even better, our son was deployed in Afghanistan. Weve met a lot of people in recent years, and Track has been privileged to meet them as well. But he said about Chris, Mom, hes the ONE person in the entire world I would be star-struck to meet. Hes it.
God bless this great warrior. Let us keep his wife and children in our prayers, and may we never forget him or his sacrifice.

There's where I disgaree... McLame would have lost so bad without Sarah even HE would have been too embarrased to stay in politics.
If Sarah is to blame for anything it is making the establishment media think we would be OK if they foist THE LOSER Romney, who lost to THE LOSER McLame who lost to (a loser) Obama on us if they pretend there is conservatives somewhere.
Palin should be at the lead of any races not 2nd string.
Without Palin on the ticket McShame would have lost by twice the margin he ended up losing by. She was the only positive thing about his campaign.
She shows no interest in running for office. Sure. The left attacked her and her family in brutal, cruel ways.
She was a real threat to the established power of the left. She inspired normal people to get interested and to get out and vote.
The left did what it does very well: it destroyed her image. All the fangs came out. The left is nothing but a bunch of failed, nihilistic, materialistic, narcissistic, self-absorbed idiots.
Stay safe out there always.
Eight Deuce on the Loose!
Sarah: May you and yours have fair winds and following seas through this and the following years. Happy birthday!
I gather that = “HOT”

Amen to that! And this comes from someone who’s annoyed by Palin’s voice. I’ll take the voice over Obama, Romney or McCain anyday.
And thus says the Daily Press of Newport News, VA. Lies like this certainly wouldn't have happened when the great Tony Snow (RIP) was running that newspaper. Since he's been gone, a once fine daily has descended into a scandal sheet of falsehoods under the ownership of the Tribune Corporation.
Bullcrap...the only reason that McCain got as many votes as he did was because of Palin. Before he selected her, his campaign was moribund and she single-handedly brought it to life.
The writer obviously doesn't like or understand Sarah Palin.
The GOP-E was complicit in the attacks as well. Remember Kevin McFadden, Nicolle Wallace, Steve Schmidt, etc during the 2008 campaign itself, and then how the establishment hung her out to dry after Tucson?
Smokin’!

Yup. The theory that “Her presence on the ticket certainly didn’t help McCain” was actually started by the liberal media and parroted by the Rove RINO wing of the GOP. Everybody knows the liberal media does not really believe that for one second, otherwise they would have kept quiet so the GOP would repeat the same “mistake”. The left knows it’s FALSE. What’s the RINO’s excuse for actually parroting it?
