Just hours after filming began, three crew members shooting a reality TV show died overnight in a California helicopter crash, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 3:40 a.m. in a rural, northern area of Los Angeles County, The Associated Press reported.
Filming had just started on Saturday, the AP said.
Polsa Rosa Ranch is a popular site for commercials, movies and TV shows, the Los Angeles Times said.
The helicopter, a Bell 206, crashed under unknown circumstances, the Federal Aviation Administrations Allen Kenitzer told the LA Times...
He told the newspaper it appeared the reality show centered on the military.
Helicopters are dangerous and crash a lot. Especially low-flying ones. At night.
They actually had someone filming the crash! THAT was the reality show!
Odinga has some elections to win don’t you know?
Crazy ex cop taunted that he had MANPADS rockets and would use them against the LAPD if they persued.
Just saying.
I just found out a friend of mine from High School was on it. And yes, he was retired SF :-(
i’ve heard there is a list of special operators and someone is paying to have them removed.
anyone else able to confirm this?
anyone know where to find the list?
Yep. Remember Vic Morrow and the two children on the ‘Twilight Zone: the Movie’ set? They were killed when the low-flying helicopter went out of control. Pyrotechnics were being fired off and one hit the tail of the helicopter causing the pilot to lose control. This was at 2:30 A.M.
At least Morrow and the children died quickly.
The whole thing could have been prevented.
