More asinine overreaction from the quivering minds of school officials
In Loveland Colorado, about 45 minutes North of Denver, a 7-year-old 2nd grader has been suspended for trying to save the world. It appears that the boy lobbed "an imaginary grenade into a box with what he called pretend evil forces inside."
According to the child, he pretended to blow up the box "so nothing can get out and destroy the world."
Thank God he wasn't carrying a Hello Kitty Bubble Gun, a small piece of paper, or a pointed finger. Who knows what kind of imaginary trauma he could have caused with one of those.

Imaginary reasons to send your kid to public schools ping.
We need imaginary liberals to replace the real ones.
I suppose they would have let him off if he’s just said he was pretending to blow up right-wing Christians, rather than imaginary evil.

Best response that I was previously that that all children wishing to throw imaginary grenades should tell their “educators” (if one can really stomach using that word) that they were tossing imaginary condoms in approval of a passing gay parade.
Hmmmm, were I to be literate, that would be “...was previously reading is ...”
If I get any worse, I’ll have to apply to write for the NYT.
I think the child should stay in school and imagine he is really suspended. Seriously... some of these educators are just beyond dumb.
Is everyone who has a “educators” degree an imbecile?
Thoughtcrime!
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Re-education camp for the violators!
Winston Smith:
Thoughtcrime is death. Thoughtcrime does not entail death, thoughtcrime is death.
I have committed, even before setting pen to paper, the essential crime that contains all others in itself.
Makes me wonder how I ever got through grade school! I shot more bad guys, Indians, nazis, japs, Union soldiers then
Confederate soldiers and criminals on the playground than anywhere else! Did I mention outer space monsters?
Maybe it was a neighbor who gave me a wooden handmade Tommy gun just before I started school who perverted me!
Thats an imaginary newspaper.
See Compassion Or Compulsion?.
No boy would have lasted very long in school, in my school days. Most of us carried pocket knives, daily, and drew pictures of war planes & tanks when we were seated at our desks. Notice, by the way, that the insanity that this child, in the article, had to deal with, has contributed absolutely nothing to the safety of anyone, anywhere. On the other hand, it has subtly conditioned the child to have at least a minor doubt, if ever in combat as an adult, which just might cause a momentary hesitation in a situation that could cost him his life.
The neurotic Leftist is actually endangering--certainly not protecting--those in their charge.

“Is everyone who has a educators degree an imbecile?”
They are tireless indoctrinators.
Remember kids- don’t cook off your imaginary frags.
Of course they are below average intelligence...that is why they are drawn to the degree.
