(WXYZ) - Every year the automakers produce some of the most talked about ads that are aired during the Super Bowl.
This has been especially true over the last few years, where Chrysler produced ads featuring both Clint Eastwood and Eminem to highlight their progress as they emerged from bankruptcy.

The Farmer is now at 70%
The message is not in the How? or the What?
The message is in the WHY?
Apple computer did this in the 1980s
Reagan did this every time he spoke.
If you’re interested in this concept you should watch this:

“I prayed to God to send me a farmer.... 10 years later and I married him”.
I LOVE this story, Cowgirl!
I agree. The Ram commercial with Paul Harvey was both my favorite and my wife’s.
This ad
on youtube
has gone from 1.2 million views on Youtube,
To 1.4 million in the last 30 minutes.
That is extraordinary.
It was not a true commercial trying to sell their product but at tribute to their customers the farmers. Nice job. Someone at RAM gets it!
Will definitely look at the Ram for my next truck.
Leave it to the Italians to come up with the winner.
I loved the Clydesdale. The best of all was this one.
You are correct.
It is not a “true commercial”
Yes, someone at RAM gets it.
The “it” is how to communicate.
If you listen to old Reagan speeches you will here the same thing.
The WHAT and the HOW are irrelevant.
The what and the how of a “thing” or a “concept” is most of what we hear.
People don’t “Buy” what you do, they buy “Why” you do it.
It turns the message on it’s head and is what has been missing from the conservative message for way too many years.
anyone who ever loved and lost a pet couldnt helped but love that ad
me too
Budweiser Horsie hands down. Then the Hyundai commercial where they were following all those crazy drivers...including the drooling dogs. I thought that was hillarious...
The Paul Harvey ad is the greatest piece of advertising I’ve ever seen in my life. I really don’t even see it as adverting. It was art. Stunning, beautiful art... with a sponsor.
I’m grateful to that sponsor for putting it on the air.
here’s the extended version
Yes, art. Timeless, classic art. It was a tribute to the farm, farmer and a way of life.
Read THE LAST FARMER by Howard Kohn. I’ve bought and loaned over a dozen copies that keep getting passed on to others who “need” to read it.
Kohn was editor of Rolling Stone magazine when he had the epiphany and wrote the book.
The message dies with the messenger, before it ever starts.
It takes a certain leap of faith to craft and deliver a message that resonates in the hearts of man.
Leadership ?
No.
Inspiration ?
YES !!!!
Funny but even before reading the poll the top 2 in my choice were the Clydesdale and The Farmer in that order.
Worst was the fatboy lip slobbering with the cute blonde. Just hated that gross display.
