No halftime show at Super Bowl 2014? Thats the word, according to planners who say the weather may prevent appearances at matchup XLVIII, set for New Jersey.
Its because of the cold weather, said one involved with next years Super Bowl planning, in a New York Post report. Its not only the acts and the singers, but also the crews that have to put the stage together.
You just cant assemble the stage and break it down fast enough in the cold.

Pretty hard to wear skank outfits in the cold too!

As far as I'm concerned they could make that permanent. I'd rather see a couple of good college bands out on the field than the garbage they've been pushing the last few years.

Well who’s bloody stupid idea was it to hold the cotton-pickin’ thing in NEW JERSEY in FEBRUARY??????
The rule should be: Unless you’re in a warm-climate state, you can’t have an outdoor Super Bowl. (Yes...I know that eliminates Seattle from ever hosting one. Oh well.)

Beyonce would have frozen to death by her second song if she wore the same thing outside in New Jersey that she wore in the Superdome. Maybe they can have an all Eskimo dance crew next year.

I’m sure a union break in the middle of the event would throw the time off as well.

No halftime show at the Superbowl?
That’s OK, anyone who needs to look at scantily clad sluts can just look on the Internet instead.
Yesterday had a classy cover of our National Anthem, but the same tired, predictable, no class pop culture halftime show.

A superb lineup would consist of Lee Greenwood reverently performing the National Anthem without the histrionics that's been the pattern of late. The halftime feature would be Hank Williams, Jr. teaming up with Charlie Daniels. This year's lineup of Holder's people "performing" was repulsive and an assault on the ears.
Bring on some real talent for a change. In addition, the three men I cited would have no problem whatsoever adapting to the elements, whatever they might be. Conservatives need not be coddled like the talent-deprived Obama partisans we were subjected to yesterday.

I rate this as 0% likely. If logistics are the issue, they’ll just have the show at another facility and transmit it on the Jumbotron screens in the stadium. There’s no point in having the show on the field itself except for the attendees to say they saw (insert act name here) perform “live”.

The rule should be: Unless youre in a warm-climate state, you cant have an outdoor Super Bowl. (Yes...I know that eliminates Seattle from ever hosting one. Oh well.) I've heard people even complaining about the northern domed stadiums because the cold weather puts a damper on all the festivities in the week leading up to the Super Bowl. Who wants to do anything outside in Minneapolis in February even if the stadium is domed?
Some of the cities like Seattle or San Francisco should be OK for an outdoor Super Bowl because it doesn't get really cold. New York is just nuts. Why not just go to Green Bay and be done with it?

The NFL & Networks hate the working man/woman. Otherwise why do they make the game so late on a Sunday that most men/women that have to earn a living can’t see the end of it? It reminds me of professional baseball. You know who invented night baseball? The Negro League because their audience didn’t have the pleasure of missing work to go to a day game. So they set up light poles and generators and played at night. You see the same thing with the Super Bowl and NFL.
