AP/WJLA) A 15-year-old majorette who performed with the King College Prep High School band in President Obama's recent inaugural parade was shot to death in Chicago.
Police say Hadiya Pendleton was shot Tuesday afternoon in a South Side park. She died at a city hospital.
Pendleton was standing under a canopy during heavy rain with her volleyball team when a man jumped a fence, ran toward the group and started shooting. Another teenage boy was shot in the leg. No arrests have been made.
Pendleton's godfather says she was an excellent student and had dreams of being a doctor or lawyer. The King College Prep High School Band performed at several inaugural events.
Several media outlets, including The Washington Post, reported that Pendleton, who relatives said was a majorette and volleyball player, had performed in the inaugural parade, with King College Prep’s band. But the band, which marched in the president’s first inaugural, did not perform this time.

Most of the teens with Pendleton at the time of the shooting were believed to be gang members and left the scene, authorities said. Pendleton did not have any gang affiliation, a police spokesman confirmed to the Daily News.
SHE WAS HANGING AROUND WITH GANG MEMBERS!!! This is exactly like Trayvon Martin case where they put him on a pedestal, yet he was not the clean kid the media made him out to be.

It was pouring rain at the time and folks were huddled under a tree some gang members. She may have just been in wrong place wrong time.

Impossible, Chicago is a gun free zone. It is no more possible to be shot down in a gun free zone than it is to drown in the desert.
Come to think of it, maybe the gang member who shot her didn’t realize it was a gun free city. Maybe Chicago needs more and bigger, “Gun Free Zone” signs.
It’s the Republican’s fault.

We have plenty of laws, just not the will to enforce them.
Just like immigration and a host of other laws Demrats like to ignore.

They let these thugs out on parole or probation and then leave them alone to terrorize their neighborhoods, and they want to blame the hundreds of millions of legally and safely owned guns for this epidemic of senseless violence.
I wish that one day the law abiding majority of the black community (aka the primary victim pool for these thugs) would wake up to this and demand that these thugs be dealt with appropriately and that they would also demand their own gun rights, to protect themselves and their families from these thugs. Actually, I think a lot do get it (though you won't see them in the media). They just need to break their old, bad habits, tune out the brainwashing of the MSM and stop voting for the Democrats who condemn them to this misery.
