He just threatened to use the full might of the military to disarm the American people and that is his justification for more limits on the second amendment. If this isn't making your spidey senses tingle, maybe you better think about then think about it again. This is exactky why our forefathers included the second amendment in the bill of rights-to oppose tyrants that envision using a large standing Army to subjugate the free people of the American people.

I have a feeling many RC folks are discussing the myriad of ways and means to bring down a drone using off the shelf RC aircraft, myself what comes to mind is a poor mans squadron of attack aircraft, some being jets for speed.

Buzz a drone over and over, crashing into it if needed, drop spectra rated coils of line that will stop its engine, magnesium flares to blind it or just get close enough to jam its telemetry with another jammer drone.

Fear mongering, the mighty Federal Drones command you to behave! Drop your weapons or be thermally targeted and struck down by a Hellfire missile.

And all those millions of high intensity green laser pointers?

Make a large tube on a swivel, install a hundred or more so you get all the beamms spread out like a tight searchlight beam about several yards around at a fair distance of 1000’ feet or so, place a targeting scope on the barrel so to speak and when a drone comes around keep your “laser cannon” targeted and it may very well fry its camera if it doesn’t overload it.

Now we have a use for those pumped up laser pointers the Feds were screaming at several years ago, they can’t stand the peasants having anything more than scythes and pitchforks.

if you look at the Second Amendment it was that you would have militia to protect yourself

Actually, it says the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. This is a tired old argument by the Left, that only militias have the right to bear arms. What is a militia anyway? It's a civilian army. How can a militia have weapons if civilians cannot?

First of all, if the government were to come to disarm you, you would not be able to use an automatic weapon to defend yourself. Let’s be serious. We’re in a world of drones now so the Second Amendment would not help you in that area. It is absurd to try to cite that.

If he would like to articulate this challenge just a hair more directly, I will consider it 'game on'.

Al, with all due respect you are an idiot, a lying idiot.

Yes, no right is absolute. The Second Amendment does not guarantee the right to own a cannon, howitzer or fully automatic machine gun

But what it does guarantee is public access to civilian semi automatic versions of military style firearms and this has ALWAYS been the case.
And those are specifically what Feinstein proposes to ban-exempting herself and her fellow serial criminal repeat office holders of course

And if drone attacks were so successful in controlling a population determined to resist, why the hell are we pulling out of Afghanistan?

I’m afraid Al that you are once again flatulating out of the wrong end of your body.

Say hello to Tawana Brawley for me,hear?

Hey idiot Al - ask someone that served in Iraq during the mid 2000s about what a much SMALLER and less COMMITTED insurgency can do (and cause).

Then multiply that times 10.

And oh yea moron - hide, hide real good. We will be talking, “target rich” environment.

Good thing the people in charge today were not the ones in charge during the civil rights protest era of the 60’s.

From water hosings and german shepherds to drones with hell fire missiles in a little over 50 years!

The second amendment battle will be more important for freedom in America than that fought over black civil rights in the 60’s.

It is so obvious.

When you run across one of these anti-gunners [like Rev. Al Sharpton] ask a couple of simple questions.

1. You make guns (or certain guns) illegal.
2. You tell their owners to turn them in (effectively taking the owners’ property worth hundreds or thousands of dollars for nothing).
3. The owners refuse.
4. How do you get those guns out of the hands of the owners?
5. Will you send in government agents to kill the resisters and take their property?
6. Will you inform on friends, neighbors, and family so that government agents can raid their homes, steal their property, and murder them?
7. Do you not think there will be blowback on the people who inform or support the theft, incarceration, and murder of their fellow Americans?
8. If you hate guns so much, why outsource to the government? Don't you have the guts to do your own ‘wet work’?

National Urban League president Marc Morial spoke: “And we absolutely think that the idea of banning a military style assault weapon, a weapon that I am confident that Thomas Jefferson and James Madison never laid their eyes on,....”

Perhaps Marc Morial would have been well advised to heed the admonition: “It is better to be silent and thought a fool then to open ones mouth and leave no doubt” The military assault weapon in the days of Thomas Jefferson and James Madison was a semi-automatic air rifle up to about 40 of the .46 caliberrounds with a magazine capacity of 22 rounds designed by the clockmaker Batolomeo Girondini for usee by the Austrian Army in the period circa 1787 to 1801. The Austrian Army took the Girondini repeater air rifle out of service because France’s Napoleon threatened to give no quarter (surrender ternms) to Austrian troops captured with the girondini air rifle, and due to the difficulties in maintaining the unusual weapon. Nonetheless, the Lewis and Clark expedition of discovery used the weapons. There can be little doubt that Thomas Jefferson and James Madison were very well aware of the Girondini repeater air rifles asssault weapon characteristics while in use by the Austrian and American military, whether or not they had the opportunity to “lay their eyes” on the Girondini rifle.

Perhaps Marc Morial would remedy his ignorance and dispel his apparent foolishness with an apology for misinforming his audience and unjustly maligning his opponents?

Obama To Top Brass: Will You Fire On American Citizens?
January 24, 2013 By Daniel Noe 3

The Obama administration is openly escalating its campaign against private gun ownership and shaking up the top ranks of the military command structure — but is it also preparing to make war on the American population?

Obama does skeet shooting “all the time”
Monday, January 28, 2013 5:10

Yeah, riiiiight.

Obama Discusses Gun Control, Tells The New Republic ‘We Do Skeet Shooting All The Time’

.................
Obama added to that perspective by admitting that he has fired a gun. “Up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time,” he said.

....................
“You buying this? I’m not. If he really did skeet shooting we would have seen a picture already as he loves tweeting pictures of himself. Apparently not even HuffPo SuperUsers are buying it either. Some of their comments:

Barackis… please sit down now…. you are a divider, not a uniter…
It would be nice if libs stopped making this about hunting….the original intent deals with tyranny and today you can add self defense.
He doesn’t know which end of the shotgun to hold.
DO AS I SAY NOT AS I DO.
Obama still thinks this is some urban vs rural thing. That just goes to show how out of touch he is with gun culture.
Aw shucks, SEE..He’s just one of the guys!….This makes it all different now…
I love the hunting analogy from a constitutional scholar!

I tried to find out how many times Obama has been to Camp David and although I couldn’t find the exact amount, it has been quite substantially less times than Bush and dramatically less times than Obama has golfed.

Funny how after being president for four years we are just now hearing how he does skeeting shooting when he’s trying to implement strict gun control laws. What a coincidence…”
