Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, a possible 2016 presidential contender, on Friday slammed New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, another potential presidential hopeful, saying a number of the governors recent positions would likely alienate GOP primary voters.
I think criticizing the Second Amendment movement and the over-the-top give me my money stuff, I want all 60 billion now or Ill throw a tantrum, I dont think thats going to play well in the Republican primary, Paul, the libertarian-leaning GOP senator, said of the Republican governor.
Those remarks, made on The Laura Ingraham Show, referenced recent comments from Christie on gun control and funding for the Northeast in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.
You have some Republicans backing down like Christie backing down and criticizing the NRA, and I think that doesnt do any good, Paul said, according to a transcript.
I think he may be solidifying his support with Democrats in New Jersey and maybe liberal Republicans, Paul said of Christies recent positions.

Alas, we can no longer depend on the “good judgment” of our little Republican primary voters, whom I believe will be swayed once more by a Bush — this time Jebbie.
I predict that if he doesn’t die of a heart attack Krispy will be a Democrat by 2016. He has to come out of the closet sometime.
Nah, Rubio is the next Bush. Jeb trained him well.
unless or until electronic voting and vote counting machines are outlawed, voting is a waste of time and money.
I mostly concur but I'm not sure of Rand Paul's commitment to the military. Unlike his goofy father, the son may be sound on such things. I'm just unsure.
My dream team in the White House is an all-Texas duo:
good line - because that's pretty much what Christie did.
Well looks like Christie squashed the shark.
Rand Paul BTTT
The GOPe will have something to say about that.
The GOPe will have something to say about that.
Exactly, unless the vote returns to integrity, the process of voting out slime is over.
This started by early voting and computerized voting. It won’t end unless those things are eliminated.
I will quote Jim Schoenfeld at the time coach of the NJ Devils Hockey team as he confronted referee Koharski after a Devils hockey game years ago: “Go eat another doughnut ya fat pig!!” End quote.
Bravo, Rand! I may disagree with him on a few things, but he’s a fiscal hawk who can argue effectively. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing him on the debate stage come 2016. I haven’t put my money on a horse yet, but we’re going to have a good field, and I honestly think after 2012, however much the establishment kicks and screams, we will not have a moderate. It won’t be Jeb, and it definitely won’t be Krispy Kreme. Maybe I’m reading too much into what Colonel West said, but his recent comment about looking forward to “bigger things” has piqued my interest a lot.
After Romney lost, I was feeling really dejected. I lamented the loss of America to socialism, and I was convinced we were finished, but with the German central bank recalling all of its gold, perhaps we’re closer to global fiscal armageddon (and the overnight collapse of the bankrupt left) than we think. We should be careful though. If things get really bad in this country, we won’t only be sharing debate stages with Democrats, but old-school fascists as well.
GOOD! He needs to be drummed out of the party—a perfect RINO he should join the Deminny Crats.
Rush today said that Christie is positioning for a run against Hillary in the 2016 Democrat primary. :-)
I really wish ONE of the GOP would grow a set and just BITCH slap everyone of ‘em, Christie, Reid, O, etc.
Enough with the touchy/feely B.S.; let it out and blow ‘em outta the water.
IE: “Christie, you should be bitchin’ at the Dems for loading a simple bill w/ enough pork to choke your own bloated ass. You want it, and quicker, go to the People and ask instead of waiting with your hand out for Congress to give you what the taxpayers won’t.”
I think I’d have died if I heard anything close to it.
