(The extra D stand for don’t) But all in all, I’d rather have the diarrhea.

Already been discounted within the medical community...for various reasons.

This has been done since the beginning of time. It is just a normal happening where people with less than perfect hygene live near one another. That includes even the most ardent clean freaks in modern America.

I think I’ll stick with the Kaopectate and tough it out.

Yogurt in the raw does the same thing, replacing the “good” bacteria. And it is more pleasant to take.

Eating shredded coconut is the most effective means of shutting down diarrhea.

Yes. I had a relative very sick with colon issues over about 8 months of 2012. They thought that the antibiotics he had gotten for a foot infection, also killed off his “good bacteria”, and one option they discussed was the fecal transplant. At one point, the relative was sure he was going to die, had lost massive amount of weight, was giving me info on what to do if he did not make it through. I think he would have recovered much faster, had they proceeded with this treatment option.

Even fecal matter is worth something. First, as fertilizer. And second, in some instances it has a medical use that can significantly help restore health.

Many years ago I read a fascinating book by retired surgeon William Nolen MD who discussed this very same topic in a hilarious way. As a resident(at Bellevue in NYC) they had a patient that secondary to heavy antibiotic dosage had developed a severe and unremitting diarrhea. After a resident’s conference and unbeknownst to Nolen, his junior resident mixed some fresh feces found on the ward, emulsified it and had the patient drink it. Naturally word got out and Nolen was terrified that crazy stunt cost him his job.
Great author and a great set of books!

Look up the ‘fecal’ treatments being used for Chrons disease and other forms of IBD. It’s encapsulated/processed...but you are still eating...Oh hell I can’t even type it.
And you don’t want to know how I know....

I don't know about any one else but "antibiotics" tend to give me the "green apple two step", Ie:
diarrhea shhh!
