As much as it pains me to say it, W opened this door.

Until 9/11 Executive orders were almost always used to manage the administration of the Executive Office (except for FDR who really thought he was king, may he burn in Hell).

W opened up a whole new kettle of fish when he started firing them out after 9/11. Now, that was special and we had to act quickly. But he DIDN’T SHUT THE DAMN DOOR! He should have rescinded/revoked the XOs that were not immediately needed.

Instead, Pandora’s Box stayed open and more horrors keep emerging. And, ironically, the worst of those horrors was Hope and Change. Hope as we know it will never emerge until the damn box is closed.

This is a Constitutional Crisis. The arrogance of caligula obamus egotust is using his “legal” argument of “a priori tu quoque” (my term: “you did it first”).

I end with this. It used to be that BOTH SIDES lived by the adage: Never get a power you do not wish to be wielded by the opposition (someday).

Now our Republic may die by not honoring that wisdom.

Were you comatose during the Clinton Administration? You don't remember Paul Begala's famous quote, ""Stroke of the pen, law of the land. Kind of Cool."?
