ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Thousands of people applied for 200 new jobs at Target over the last three days in Northeast Albuquerque.

Candidates only have a one in 35 chance in getting a job, but many have said they're confident they can stand out from the pack.
Natalie Bryant said her skills, personality and "great looks" will help her get a job.
"Good luck, 'cause I'm going to blow those people out of the water with my interview," said Pauly Garcia.
Target plans to make some hires this weekend. The rest will be hired two weeks before the new Target at the corner of Indian School Road and Louisiana Boulevard opens on March 10.
They sound like a bunch of deluded American Idol wannabes.
I’ve been to Albuquerque. Target really is their best option for work.
How many of those is the government counting as unemployed? And how many are considered “ no longer looking?”
Somebody please insert line of job seekers lining up during the Great Depression. Would do it myself but don’t have the skills.
Many years ago, I worked as a seasonal employee at Target. It really is a good company to work for.
Gezzzz...People have to beg for a job at some retail joint paying 1990s wages?
Bet few if any will get full time either..Ya know what that means!
Welcome to the new America....
Celebrated my 70 birthday with a CDL class A license...off to Salt Lake City this evening.
Compare and contrast the media’s coverage of this during a Republican vs. a Democrat administion....
Under a Republican administration...”This shows what the economy has reduced people to, McJobs.”
Under a Democratic administration...”200 new jobs shows that Obama’s economy is improving.”
People in ABQ are probably getting desperate:

leading the country in job losses and in people leaving. The state policies not controlling illegals are probably having overwhelming detrimental effects.
Proofread before you post.
That’s the curent view. It gets worse. As the private sector shrivels up the guvmint will offer brown shirt jobs at IRS, gun monitoring, monitoring enemies of the state etc.
what’s your problem ?
Thank you all for the graphics of the Great Depression job seekers.
The only people from either story that I would hire with any confidence are the two people who are retiring.
Wanna bet 98% of them were merely putting in their application to say they applied and didn’t get hired to keep their unemployment check coming?
Well, they’re not brawling or eating each other, yet.
