Old Joe and the rest of the Obama administration are dumb like a fox. Every word they say has a purpose. Biden makes no gaffs, but makes foolish, yet calculated statements to misdirect attention away from or to certain events or points of view. If he actual made the statement in question, my feeling the purpose was to "red herring" the pro gun lobby into such a rage over possible gun confiscation that when a less draconian ban on assault weapons is proposed, the ban will pass with little opposition. For the DC types it is a win win situation. The Rats will get their assault gun ban and the GOP can say they prevented confiscation. FRiends, I feel Plugs is playing us like a fiddle. Just my opinion.

I'm almost to the point of thinking that the administration is purposely dropping these verbal firebombs daily (they seem too well timed, just as the fallout from the first is dying another comes out) in the hope of provoking some sort of attack by a right wing militia group, of the Oklahoma City type.
