Maine Coon cats are VERY NICE! Never had one but have known and admired a few.

She took it to a vet to have it checked out. They told her it was a rat. Yes, shes blonde.
My brother once pulled what he thought was a rabbit out of our cat's mouth (wasn't easy; that cat fought hard).
Turned out it to be a rat. Which promptly bit my brother. We had to take him to the doctor for a tetanus shot.

Presumably, in a self-defense move, the dying animal hid under the van, trying to escape someone it perceived as a threat before it was turned over to veterinary care.
Upon being examined by a veterinarian, it was determined that the wounds received by the bobcat were terminal—the bobcat would have died slowly if not immediately put out of its misery.

Lynx and bobcat are not the same species.

That makes sense of course - it’s just that the way it’s written, you have to guess at all of that. I don’t believe that the writer is going to go very far in this world. He/she can’t convey simple progression of events at all.

My hubby had a firefighter buddy who did the same thing only with a cougar (the kind in Florida). He was going to take it to a wildlife rescue facility. When it “came to” he had to slam on the brakes and jump out of the truck to escape. The thing tore up the entire inside of the truck!

On Veteran’s Day I was drinking a glass of water in my kitchen and looked out the window to see a bobcat jump into the bushes. We live ten miles form down town Seattle in a suburb next to a 100 acre park. I grabbed my camera and sneaked outside, but the kitty was gone.
After doing research I learned that others had seen bob cats in near by towns.
I made this Pin Interest page Wild Cats of the West. http://pinterest.com/garjog/wild-cats-of-the-west/
