Thinking that she accidentally hit a large cat just after midnight Wednesday with her van, a woman in Veazie, Maine, put the unconscious animal in her vehicle to get it help.
But after driving for several miles, she realized that this was no ordinary house cat: it was a wild bobcat.

We got bobcats here! Last week a hunter shot one off the back of my property.
And I blamed coons for the disappearance of chickens.
A radio lady here in Tampa found a dog swimming in Tampa Bay about a mile off shore. She took it on board and then home.
She took it to a vet to have it checked out. They told her it was a rat.
Yes, she’s blonde.
I use to know a Jewish Piano tuner named Bob Katz, does that count?
I had a friend in high school that thought he was a taxidermist. He came over to the house once very excited about the perfect condition bobcat he found on the road. I should have let him mount that really big house cat.
Virginia Wildlife just had a story on bobcats ... females are about 28 lbs. I had a long-haired mixed breed calico that was 24 lbs! There is a domestic breed, the ‘pixiebob’, that looks very much like a bobcat.
I know, the story is about a lynx, but still funny...
I had a friend in High School that bought an old hearse fairly cheap at an auto auction. He would often slow down and start to pull over when he saw “disadvantaged” walking along the road. They always dove into the ditch and would rebound back up running.
Or the gay couple Neil and Bob.
I had been hearing some blood curdling screaming at night last spring. Several weeks later I found a dead bobcat by my mailbox. It had been hit by a car. I was impressed by how big the thing was.
Poor kitty...snif
Was her name Jane ?
I finally had to look that up. Always wondered why one of my buddies called me Katzenjammer.
Why not still bring it to the vet? It’s a critter that needed help (and not worth eating - hey I’m not above road kill).
Should’ve kept him. Rats don’t stand much of a chance against a stoat :-)

I didn’t know Henry Waxman was lost.
I have a male ginger tabby with ears like that. I thought he’d grow into them, otherwise I’d have named him “Ears”. Would love to have a Pixiebob. They are very handsome.
I love when Tommy Boy and Richard put that KO’ed deer in Richard’s car.
