Good thing the puck didn’t hit Dario in a vital organ.

USA will play the Czechs tomorrow. This is great hockey,
lots of movement and skill without the NHL thuggery.

Shayne Gostisbehere, who I believe was just suspended for the next game due to an illegal hit.
Shamless plug, but the site I run is providing some coverage from the WJC, so feel free to check it out - www.hockeysfuture.com .

I’m in Canada right now, Vancouver to be exact. It’s the WJHC is the only thing that keeps everyone awake here...and Boxing Day-Week. Can’t believe how canucks fall for this shopping scam.

You are welcome.
Since I had a typo on the day of the week, I want to emphasize the time listed is correct: 8:00 a.m. and not p.m.

I actually was leaving Vancouver this morning when I asked someone in line at the airport who won and he sounded like someone died.

I would say that the US has a good chance to take the gold tomorrow. They've gotten hot at the right time, and the goaltender Gibson is playing well. But Sweden isn't a pushover, although some of their best players missed the WJC due to injuries. Also for the US, their defensive unit has been amazing, producing 27 points in 6 games. Canada's defense only produced 12 points and there was some excellent talent in that group. Should be a good game.

Florida Panthers’ draft pick with two goals in the second period. He is a born-again Christian, too.

Congratulations USA on the gold! I’m only sorry it’s over. I like the style of hockey. Hopefully the NHL will get a decent CBA and we can watch that too.

Had the DVR set up so I could fast forward through the commercials. What a great game! I thought Sweden looked very good but the maturity of the Americans was too much for them. Sweden should be killer next year. I still wish the Pens had drafted Filip Forsberg, oh well... I have to admit to enjoying the wailing and gnashing of teeth from up north. It ups the entertainment value about 50%.
