GOD BLESS AND PROTECT OUR TROOPS AND OUR BELOVED NATION!
Amazing Grace (Click)
By John Newton
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see. . Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, . And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed! . Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home. . The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures; He will my Shield and Portion be, As long as life endures. . Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, I shall possess, within the veil, A life of joy and peace. . The earth shall soon dissolve like snow, The sun forbear to shine; But God, Who called me here below, Will be forever mine. . When weve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, Weve no less days to sing Gods praise Than when wed first begun.

Thank you for your post on Ephiphany Sunday, Meg!
I did a little search on it's meaning,
and it was quite interesting

The Lords Prayer Andrea Bocelli (Click)
DEAR LORD, who suffered torment, agony, and death upon the Cross to free our souls from the chains of iniquity, protect and defend our troops. Guide them in the performance of their duties. Strengthen them to endure hardship, danger and deprivation in Your service. Let their efforts free the people of Iraq and Afghanistan from the chains of terror and slavery, foster a lasting peace in the region, and bring all to a greater share in Your Mercy.
Amen.

Praise to the God of All Comfort
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of compassion
and the God of all comfort,
4 who comforts us in all our troubles,
so that we can comfort those in any trouble
with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
~2 Corinthians 1:3-4~
My heartfelt and deepest sympathy, Teenie, on the loss of your friend, your love, your husband.

Conor, listening to Amazing Grace on the bag-pipes gives me goose-bumps every time! (As does the voice of Andrea Bocelli, singing the Lord’s Prayer!) Thank you for sharing with us!
May God Bless our Troops!

Holy Sonnet XIV
Batter my heart, three person'd God; for, you As yet but knocke, breathe, shine, and seeke to mend, That I may rise, and stand, o'erthrow mee, and bend Your force, to breake, blowe, burn and make me new. I, like an usurpt towne, to another due, Labour to admit you, but Oh, to no end, Reason your viceroy in mee, mee should defend, But is captiv'd , and proves weake or untrue. Yet dearely I love you, and would be loved faine, But am betroth'd unto your enemie: Divorce mee, untie, or breake that knot againe, Take mee to you, imprison mee, for I Except you enthrall mee, never shall be free, Nor ever chast, except you ravish mee.
John Donne

NO MAN IS AN ISLAND
No man is an island, Entire of itself. Each is a piece of the continent, A part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less. As well as if a promontory were. As well as if a manor of thine own Or of thine friend's were. Each man's death diminishes me, For I am involved in mankind. Therefore, send not to know For whom the bell tolls, It tolls for thee.
John Donne

Thank you Meg! Beautiful flowers, makes me want spring even more.
Gail that horse is gorgeous. I can only imagine how much grooming it takes to keep it that way.

JC, you recently told me you had never tasted chicken piccata.
Here is a good graphic of the dish.
(Only I use PANKO when I make it, so it is crispy,
and I put the sauce over the chicken just before serving.)
There are thousands of recipes for piccata online...
Just be sure you use one with lemon juice, white wine, butter,
chicken stock, garlic and capers.

Ahh, Yorkie. You are making me hungry.
I have never made chicken piccata but Mr Just makes it a couple of times a year and it is delicious. Guess it is time to remind him that he hasn’t made it for awhile. :)

PS: I made turkey and mushroom tortellini Friday night. It wasn’t bad.
I searched recipes for something to do with some of the left-over tureky. Mr Just said I should make it again so I will save the recipe.
