I heard a quote yesterday, that we tend to be abstemious between Christmas and New Year’s Day when we should really be paying more attention between New Year’s Day and Christmas.

I do NOT plan on being abstemious. If God wanted us to be thin, he wouldn’t have given us chocolate and sugar. Hmmmmm. Maybe Eve was not tempted by an apple — maybe it was chocolate. Happy New Year, All.

Tony Romo should be more abstemious
His passing makes Cowboys’ fans squeamy-ish
Now I’m not espousing
That he give up carousing
But when he throws, he should remember which team he is

This Administration's appetite for federal tax dollars has been anything but abstemious.

Had I been a bit more abstemious with the Christmas treats and sweets my waistline would now be somewhat less prominent.

Maybe if people were more abstemious, they would avoid such labels:

Happy New Year! (Hope you’re all abstemious tonight.)
