A Florida woman is still recovering from the insult at finding a valet ticket that described her as fat.
Sharyn Peoples used a valet when she was in Boca Raton in early December to park at a local mall while she appeared at a play but when she picked up her car she found the ticket identifying the driver with the words 'play,' 'red dress' and 'fat.'
'I was mortified,' she told WTVJ. 'In handwriting it said 'play, red dress, and fat' on it.'
Peoples said she found the description insulting and shocking and she contacted LAZ Parking of Florida, the valet company.
'It's only words and it's from some kid, and that's one of the things the guy said to me on the phone. He said, "You know, we employ 18- and 20-year-old kids." I said, "Sir, they're legally adults,"' she told the local news station about her conversation with the company.
Shortly thereafter, the woman said a representative from the parking company sent her an email, apologizing for the incident.
'Please accept our sincerest apologies,' the message said, adding that the company will inform its drivers to no longer refer to customers' physical appearance on tickets.
'This type of situation will never occur again,' the company assured her.

Why is she insulted? She didn't deny any part of the description.
Plus he could have added "ugly," but there wasn't enough room on the ticket

Which picture in that article is the most current? The third pic of her shows a fairly hefty woman.
I am not sure that the ticket was suppose to be seen by her. People need to keep their heads in the game when they are working. That ticket should not have been left for her to see.

I think she looks beautiful in that photo and beautiful in the one at the link. She’s just an attractive woman, IMO, with pounds or not.

The valets have a secret code they use to communicate with each other. “FAT” was probably short for “Fine A** and T***”.

I sold my Longhorns...they were like trying to fence in deer. Maybe the valet wanted to write b.... and instead wrote fat?
There is now. You can’t believe what one stupid little publicity story can generate in revenue if you know how to milk it. It’s sickening really.

Another thing that occurs to me. If she made the effort to lose weight because she was fat, then obviously she knew she was fat, and she had to have been aware that everyone else knew she was fat. It’s not like it’s a secret.
But we have two pictures posted in this thread. One she is fat & one she is looking pretty good.
If this happened in early December, less than a month ago. Which of these pictures represents her at the time of the heinous incident?
These days too many of the underinformed (morons) and Obama voters are so strung out, touchy and stupid that they go bonkers over every little thing that can be perceived as a personal insult.
Pretty soon crying wolf all the time will have the same bad result as is found in the fable....and words like "insulting", "outrageous", "degrading", "derogatory", etc. will have lost much of their meaning and impact....and no one will care anymore about the "feelings" of the put-upon "victims" uttering these words.
