A Florida woman is still recovering from the insult at finding a valet ticket that described her as fat.
Sharyn Peoples used a valet when she was in Boca Raton in early December to park at a local mall while she appeared at a play but when she picked up her car she found the ticket identifying the driver with the words 'play,' 'red dress' and 'fat.'
'I was mortified,' she told WTVJ. 'In handwriting it said 'play, red dress, and fat' on it.'
Peoples said she found the description insulting and shocking and she contacted LAZ Parking of Florida, the valet company.
'It's only words and it's from some kid, and that's one of the things the guy said to me on the phone. He said, "You know, we employ 18- and 20-year-old kids." I said, "Sir, they're legally adults,"' she told the local news station about her conversation with the company.
Shortly thereafter, the woman said a representative from the parking company sent her an email, apologizing for the incident.
'Please accept our sincerest apologies,' the message said, adding that the company will inform its drivers to no longer refer to customers' physical appearance on tickets.
'This type of situation will never occur again,' the company assured her.

“LAZ” Parking is the same outfit that runs Chicago’s street parking. Given what we’ve seen here in Chicago and their epic ineptness here, this is entirely not surprising.
You cannot control what other people think of you. These guys move those cars fast, they need simple and easy to understand descriptions.
This woman probably just wanted to be offended. Those who expect to go through life unoffended are fooling only themselves.
So some teenager said she was fat, so what? Her reaction is to act even more juvenile and huff and puff and stomp her feet and throw a temper tantrum?
Yeah, pretty chunky.
Get over it. People call me skinny all the time, and until mom died, she fussed over how skinny I am. Of course, I outlived her.
Noting physical characteristics isn't nice or not nice. It is what it is. Own it.

If this is the red dress in question, the description was accurate and she knows it, as the photo is on the “Quick Weight Loss” website and she’s giving a testimonial.

Does not one have to pay for valet parking? How much does that cost these days? I don’t know won’t use it NO ONE drives my car. Still however she was paying for a service and not to be insulted by the workers in that service.
What if you hired a maid or some other kind of help and they gave insults to you? You’d complain to the company who sent them. People are just rude these days.
Did the valet just misspell “Fiat” and the woman is just an attention whore?

Yeah, she really needed to just give them a shot in those cajones and drive off. Not really internationally newsworthy I’d say. Then again, it may have just been about just enough publicity to pay off the mortgage.

I’m pretty certain it’s a canned PR blitz for “QuickWeightLoss.net” since she’s even wearing the red dress in her testimonial on the site. She’s being paid for this, imho.
