Within every ice crystal and snowflake is a Star-of-David.

Coincidence?

I think not!................

Very nice...reminds me of back in the fifties when my brother and I used to breathe on to the window to watch it frost up.

I found two snowflakes that were exactly alike ... it happened last winter ... but they melted so I can’t prove it.

Think how increadibly impossible it is that water, as common as it is, crystalizes into such increadibly fantastic, thin structures when it freezes in air. These crystals are aerodynamic, so they do no immediately fall to earth, so frozen water can be suspended in the atmosphere, where it can absorb or release heat as it freezes and thaws, thus moderating the temperature of the air and preventing wild temperature swings that would be hostile to life.

And look at how water crystalizes when it freezes from a liquid state. Instead of stacking in a dense crystaline pattern that would make ice heavier that water, it forms these big circular crystals, with huge included voids, so that ice is actually less dense that water, which causes it to float. If water behaved like normal crystals, it would sink, and oceans and lakes would freeze from the bottom up, and there would be no freezing and thawing of water bodies to moderate global temperatures. Without this moderation, the temperature of the planet would swing wildly, from night to day and from season to season, making complex life all but impossible.

And why does water do these seemingly impossible, but altogether necessary things? I don’t know. I know that it does, but I do not know why. Like the existance of the Babelfish, it might be the ultimate proof of the non-existance of God.
