In the wake of yet another tragic murder spree -- this time in Connecticut -- is it finally time to do something about the proliferation of guns in our society?
No. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.
Yes. Enough with the "guns don't kill people" line. It's time to protect our society against guns.

Looks like the poll is over before it was posted???
On Wednesday we’re going to Walmart and pick up a Ruger Ranch rifle. We’re also curious to see if the sports department will still be selling guns.
Dang it, no double button pushing this time. Dunno why this keeps happening...
No. Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. We have a Constitutional right to bear arms for self protection, not only against criminals, but also, and mainly, against an overbearing, tyrannical government.

Yes. Enough with the “guns don’t kill people” line. I’m an idiot and think that guns can rise up and kill people all by themselves.

8 people showed up to vote “huh?” Wonder who they vote for in elections?
“Were also curious to see if the sports department will still be selling guns.”
Couple weeks ago I bought ammo at Walmart. It had to be carried by an employee to the checkout, under no circumstances could I carry it myself. The guy apologetically said that a LEO could carry the ammo himself, but had to be escorted.
I thought to myself: “If I asked to buy a gun, it would probably be lethal injection time”.
Where is the Walmart you go to? Here in Washington state you buy your ammo at the gun counter and just carry it around if you need to do more shopping. The only case of having your purchase carried by staff to the front counter is a Cabela’s and that’s if you’ve bought a firearm. I’ve not bought a firearm at Wally’s so I’ll find out this time how that works.
73% guns don’t kill, people do.
Senator Huh? Or perhaps they vote “present,” “maybe,” or “undecided.”
Again, I don’t understand why someone would bother to vote “I dunno.”
DOUBLE thank you, dynachrome. I’m having a super-doofus day, but I *knew* I hadn’t voted in this one.

Bump.
Our Walmart has the same policy. The employee has to carry it up to a register where you can get it when you check out.
Our Walmart also stopped selling guns a number of years ago.
Same here. One Walmart in one direction sells ammo but no guns. The other one sells both. Go figure. But in either case, you pay for it in that department and you carry it throughout the store if you have more shopping to do.
