Last March 23, my wife of 54 years was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia with a positive Philadelphia chromosome. She spent several weeks in the hospital, underwent chemotherapy with all it's problems, and still maintained a positive attitude. She had prayers from all over the country, including from you all on FreeRepublic.
On November 27, we went to the University of Alabama Birmingham medical center to begin a clinical trial on a new drug that had only been tested on rats and monkeys. She was required to have at least ten percent leukemia cells in her bone marrow to qualify for this trial.
They did a bone marrow biopsy and gave us the results on Thursday. She had zero percent and when they tested for the Philadelphia chromsome cells, they found none. The doctor said she had never seen this before.
I want to thank everyone for their prayers and to tell you that God is there for you and answers your prayers.
God is good. I’m so happy to hear your news.
God bless you, and thank you so much for sharing this wonderful news!
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!
I’m happy for you and your wife. Life is a precious gift. God bless you and your family.
It is from a company called Seattle Genetics and is called SGN-CD19A. If you go to their web site, you can read about it.
Wow ! Great news.
.
Wonderful news. THAT sounds to me as the Merriest Christmas ever.
We never got to use the drug as her Leukemia was not there when they did the bone marrow biopsy.
God Bless.
Merry Christmas to you both.

Awesome story. Merry Christmas. I guess you do not need anything under your Christmas tree this year or any other.
A great gift from God.
Best wishes to you both.
Oh, praise God!
That is great news.
God bless you and your wife, and also the people who prayed and those who cared for her.
Thank you for letting us know.
God bless you both. Merry Christmas!
Praise The Lord!!
God bless you both!
Thank you Jesus. We give you all the glory for this healing.
My husband went through six months of chemo from last October 2011 through April 2012 and has had two cancer free PET scans. I give the Lord all the credit for his healing, too.
I have a friend who was in an auto accident about 3 months ago. A tractor trailer log truck ran a stop sign and plowed over their car. Her son has been in a coma since the accident. Please join the many who are praying for his recovery.
Thanks!
