Sorry, folks, I still find it impossible to write about serious political topics right now. It's as if the United States is 180-degrees out of phase with reality.
I now know what it was like to be a dedicated Communist when the USSR broke up.
So, on to sillier topics:
ZOMBIES ARE PEOPLE TOO!
http://zombierightscampaign.org/
"The good we secure for ourselves is precarious and uncertain until it is secured for all of us and incorporated into our common life." - Jane Addams
"'Life' includes 'undead existence'." - The ZRC
DON'T BE A LIFEIST! Discrimination against the Undead is ILLEGAL!
Never use phrases like:
These comments are hurtful, lifeist, and possibly illegal. Furthermore, the term 'Zombie' can be considered offensive. Please refer to them as the Recently Living Americans from now on.
Not all Recently Living Americans are uneducated, some of them even attend high-priced finishing schools. Here is an example of a cultured Recently Living American:
More tragic still, are Recently Living Americans who happen to be dyslexic:
***I meant the other kind of slug. ****
You mean the maggot type.
I know! Some shows give you a cliffhanger at the end of the season; this one has a couple per episode.
The glass-through-the-eye thing really got to me.
The writers have successfully taken a genre that is laughable at best and turned it into a spellbinding adventure of survival with a cast of characters that are just splendid.
As a side note, I think the public accusation of the Governor that Merle was responsible for Rick's team getting into the compound and presenting him along with Daryl is a carefully crafted plan. Daryl and Merle will be allowed to escape thus giving the Governor inside access to the prison where Merle can perform his planned mischief.
Light 'em up, boys.
These zombie movies will definitely cheer you up:
Return of the Living Dead
Fido
Zombie Strippers
Shawn of the Dead
Give them a try, sweet man! We can’t all concentrate solely on our current state of doom and gloom 24/7.
It's not dyslexic, it's just from New Zealand, is all.
I kiss you, and soon all other things shall be addressed as well. Have continuing faith my dear! (being oblique on purpose)
Living Supremacist!
YOU HATE THE BREATHING-CHALLENGED!
I used to think that as well, until, on one of the fan blog pages (over at AMC, actually) I mentioned that. The other fans pointed out that this would actually be a plot HOLE, because the Governor just lost an eye and a daughter (in his mind anyways) to Merle's lie about Michonne being killed.
They rightfully point out that the Governor, having JUST been confronted by the fact of -- and hugely injured by --Merle not telling the truth, might not be so inclined as to trust him again with a plot of great magnitude like this. Merle won't be included in the conspiracy; he might, however, be an unwitting accomplice.
LOL!
Completely agree with you that every aspect of the show is amazingly well-done....I’ve never seen anything like it, and I’ve certainly never been hooked on a TV show like this before. It’s as though the zombies are a secondary plot device; they’re not what makes the show great.
Have to admit, I didn’t think of the Governor and Merle deliberately cooking this thing up for access to the prison. You could be right-—wish we didn’t have to wait two months to find out.
I can’t see Glen and Maggie ever accepting Merle as a member of the group, and I don’t blame them.
I kiss you, and a big hug as well. No worries, my dear friend, for my faith in you is boundless.
