James Bond is doing okay for a spy celebrating his 50th anniversary. Skyfall, the latest flick in the popular spy series, beat out James Camerons Avatar to become the U.K.s top grossing film of all time, Variety reports. Skyfalls U.K./Ireland sales recently hit $151.9 million after 40 days in theaters versus Avatars lifetime gross of $151.5 million.

Hm, I was going to ignore it but if a longtime freeper says it’s worth seeing, maybe it’s worth seeing.

I was worried it wouldn’t live up to the hype, but it did and surpassed it. If you are a Bond junkie like me, you will really like it, especially all the homages to previous movies. It is right up there with Casino Royale and Goldfinger.

Is that the one where Bond starts going gay?

Bond is neither gay, nor is there a gay scene. I am not sure why people are making a big deal over it. Of all of the faults of the movie, this is not even worth discusing.

Visually it is a movie that you must watch in theatre, eventhough is not really a Bond movie.

Oh good grief. There was one comment where he was trying to manipulate the bad guy who was obviously flaming, and all the closet cases go nuts.

I really enjoyed it. I like Daniel Craig, I loved the gorgeous locations and cinematography... heck, the opening credits are enough to say I got my money’s worth. Just hypnotic. And did I mention I like Daniel Craig?

It is right up there with Casino Royale and Goldfinger. No political correctness? No snarky leftist asides?

I am a big,big James Bond fan. Since Dr No. I found Skyfall to be stupefyingly boring.

I am not surprised, this was Bond’s most British film. Bond travels to Turkey and China in the film, but those locations aren’t terribly important. The important part is the Britishness of it.
To: Saoirise
He's good as Bond.
But better as Tuvia.
