ITS a photo that will enrage hard-working football fans across Britain.
West Brom defender Liam Ridgewell, 28, squats over a toilet and wipes his backside with a wad of £20 notes.
Scattered on the floor in front of him are dozens more £20 notes, totalling almost £1,000.
The Premier League star, who earns at least £20,000 a week, is apparently using the cash instead of toilet roll.
He claims the sick stunt was simply a joke to wind up a friend but it will infuriate more than just his pal.
Ridgewells weekly wage is equivalent to the average annual salary in the West Midlands one of the most deprived areas in the country.

So?! It’s his money. If he wants to wipe his A$$ with it that’s his choice. Nothing worse than a bunch of whiny socialists. Do they want “social justice” by having his wages cut? Their’s increased to match his?
By the way, that’s a pretty crummy looking bathroom for a million dollar home.
I highly doubt this guy is the vilest football player in Britain.
Mr Ridgewell is simply doing his best as a patriotic citizen to reverse the effects of his country’s misguided quantitative easing policy by removing excess currency from circulation.
Well played, Mr. Ridgewell. Well played.
This guy is a pig, but what else is new. Look at his picture, he looks like he’s got a room temperature IQ anyway. I think he really could’ve created a sensation by wiping his arse with pages of the koran, but then again, he may not know what that is. Isn’t the queen’s picture on those bills? What a jerk.
Played 384 league games and scored 33 goals in his soccer career, most of them with Wimbledon. He was sent off more than ten times.
Holds the record for being the quickest player ever to be yellow-carded in a game of professional soccer. He was booked 3 seconds into the game.
Noted as one of soccer's hard men, he leapt to fame when a photographer at a match snapped him "marking" Newcastle United's Paul Gascoigne by grabbing his testicles.
It was never a gentlemen’s game. Too much running around. Gentlemen don’t run.
By your logic, I could walk down the street in sagging baggy pants listening to ghetto-bang rap noise and smoking an particularly rank smelling brand. of cheap ciggarette. Don't give me a dirty look though, its my business!
I loved Gazza but he was a ratbag himself - such talent spoiled by drinking and infantile behavior!
I no longer care about professional sports and won’t watch it or buy a ticket. I gave up. Why pay the freight for a bunch of thugs who are setting such a bad example for the majority of our population. I am even getting turned off by college sports..what ever happened to “student athletes”?
Of course he has no class - it is however a beatup by jealous lefty journo’s who use any instance of bad behaviour a) just to sell newspapers b)to point out that he does not deserve to have this much money.
If people are prepared to pay to see him play then good luck to them. I can make up my own mind and I do not need the media to tell me how to think. This is more my arguement people are told how to think and what to have faux outrage over and they swallow it up. People are told how great Obama is and can’t seem to swallow that whole!
I would not be too bothered about the baggy pants or stinky cigarette to be honest - not particularly into rap myself depends on how loud it was I suppose - we each have our own tolerances of what makes us annoyed.
delete “can’t’ sorry!!!
Shocking!!!!!
Highly paid professional athlete acting like world’s biggest ass clown.
Shocking I tell you.
No biggie. He was just doing a variation of the twenty-to- light-my-cigar
He really just needs to pick his friends better - it was a joke txt to a “friend or mate” for goodness sake not meant for general consumption!
“...he can do whatever he wants to with his cash.”
Ummm, No. I’ll support health measures to prevent him spending it after he wipes with it.
