The thing I have found when using All Recipes is to read the reviews well - some will mention the same type of things so you get a clue what works well and what doesn’t.

I love that ‘allrecipes’ site for the same reason - the comments under the recipes!
Recipes float around the net but the comment sections are where it’s at....story-telling recipe blogs too - like the Pioneer Woman’s site, detailed instructions and hints.
