Note to out-of-towners: Alligators are not native to Washington State.  They're more commonly found in Florida, Louisiana and in Congress.

Would you happen to know who is managing the "my pitbull wasn't aggressive enough to protect my pot operation so I replaced him with gators" pinglist?

Can’t imagine they are much protection in the winter.

The sheriff's office is working with county Animal Services to determine what will happen to the alligators.

A couple years ago there were articles warning tourists not to wander too far into the national forests in Washington because of the marijuana farms run by illegals.

Elwin said the alligators found by deputies were likely being used to protect the drugs.

Down her in Mississippi, 5-foot gators won't protect anything. They'd more likely end up in a stew pot to help ease the munchies after the crop was confiscated from the fools who thought a 5-foot gator would deter anyone. I guess them Washington folks are more prone to jumpiness than we are.

Alligators protecting a pot farm of course reminds us of the crocodile scene in "Live And Let Die"....since in the movie the crocs were at a drug processing lab, maybe this is where the Washington criminal got his idea?
