Take 5 Minutes to See What the Moon Will Do During 2013
Universe Today ^ | 20 November, 2012 | NANCY ATKINSON

This new video shows exactly how the Moon will look to us on Earth during the entire year of 2013. While the Moon always keeps the same face to us, it’s not exactly the same face. Because of the tilt in its axis and shape of its orbit, we see the Moon from slightly different angles over the course of a month, and the year. Normally, we don’t see how the Moon “wobbles” in its orbit or as it moves closer and farther away from Earth. But seeing the entire year compressed down to 5 minutes, we can see the changes in libration, and axis tilt — as well as the most noticeable changes, the Moon’s phases.

For real!

Idaho – 2-5 feet of snow above 7000 feet

Almost 14 feet (4m) of snow at Mt Rainier thru Sunday

Speaking of real:

The phase table also indicates whether an eclipse of the Sun or Moon occurs on the date in question and gives the eclipse type. An eclipse of the Sun can occur only at New Moon, while an eclipse of the Moon can occur only at Full Moon. In any calendar year there are a minimum of two solar and two lunar eclipses. The maximum number of eclipses in any one year is 7 (4 solar and 3 lunar, or 5 solar and 2 lunar). The following table lists abbreviations for the different types of solar and lunar eclipses.

Eclipse Types
Solar Eclipse Lunar Eclipse
T - Total t - Total (Umbral)
A - Annular p - Partial (Umbral)
H - Hybrid (Annular/Total) n - Penumbral
P - Partial

I found another NASA site that generates a PDF with a map of where the eclipses will be seen. According to this page, all 4 will be total eclipse (blood moons). Only the last one (15 September 2015) will be viewable from Israel according to the PDFs generated. Click on the dates to generate the PDFs.

The final eclipse on 28 September, 2015 in Israel could end up being seen as an ominous harbinger just at sunrise. Looks like now on Sukkot as well.
