Notre Dame (1) v USC Thread - 8pm EST ABC TV. If Notre Dame wins they will play for the National Championship, as unfair as that might seem.
Florida, Stanford, Oregon, Kansas State, Ohio State, Texas A&M and Notre Dame are all as good as or better.
Now ND can take on and beat which ever pretender the SEC wants to send out......you know the teams that were playing “that grueling SEC schedule” against Western Carolina and Georgia Southern last week....LMAO
Based on today I think it could be ND/Georgia...ND defense is much better than the offense, I’m looking forward to it..
That was some of the worst play-calling I have ever seen. With 5:50 left, USC finds themselves two yards away from the end zone. They proceed to allow over three minutes to run off the clock before turning the ball over on downs. Tennessee is lucky to be rid of Kiffin.
That Irish defense is impressive.
You have to be able to execute in order to be successful. The Trojans weren't able to successfully execute.

RE: Undefeated Ohio State has the 42nd-ranked schedule
But you can never trust cheaters
I watched! Sic ‘em Bears!!
I think Robert Griffin was getting a little nervous on the sideline, but they pulled it out, thank goodness.
I am an UGA fan. Notre Dame doesn’t scare me at all. They could beat UGA, but the odds are not great.
Bama on the other hand terrifies me. UGA could beat them this weekend, but not likely.
I am still glad we are in the SEC championship.
The run plays up the middle were stupid. He should have just kept going with that pass in the corner until he nailed it.
The time management was horrible, too. Anyway, I am glad it worked out like it did. I really didn’t want to see an all SEC championship again.
It will be either Alabama (beat Auburn - 49-0 {could have been worse but they pulled most of their 1st string early in the second half}) or UGA (beat Georgia Tech 42-10 {pulled back on scoring and defense in second half}).
One of these teams will emerge next week. This is an early version of the coming play-offs. I expect it might be the most watched game so far this season. If you are an ND fan, you would watch to see what to expect against your team. If you are just a football fan, you would watch because of the meaningfulness of the game.
The Dawgs could win, but I really don’t expect it. The Bama fans and media expect them to win. I hope UGA wins. If not, I hope they are not embarrassed.
Last year the Dawgs won the first half against LSU, then they crumbled. The only crumbling they did this year was against South Carolina. That was after they lost a key player at the end of a mid-week practice. I think it affected their minds, but hopefully toughened them up.
We will see.
Goodbye Gene Chizik, we will never forget you till next year.
The bad thing about A&M is they are so dependent on one player. If JM get’s injured badly, then the game is lost.
UGA doesn’t run Murray much because they don’t want to lose his arm. They still have capable backups with the best one being redshirted to try to give him more time between him and Murray. Alabama probably would be happy pounding the ball behind that monster OL.
If Bama played A&M 5 times, they would win 4. As a team, they were beat up coming off the LSU win that they should not have won.
I like A&M and I am glad they did so well this year. I wish Missouri had done better, but I think they will step up in the coming years. The SEC is a beast.
Florida beat so many high ranked teams, I can see this. But, like stated, if UGA can take down Bama, they will be back in front.
The amazing thing is how many SEC teams are in the BCS top 10.
Bama, UGA, Gators, LSU, A&M, South Carolina
No wonder the rest of the country hates us.
Ole Miss beat Miss State and Kent State is in their top 20? Even Vanderbilt was good this year.
SEC should all be in bowl games. Auburn only lost to top 10 teams except Vanderbilt and Ole Miss and they are arguably good.
These match-up predictions are crazy.
That is crazy. For public interest, the bowls should try to match up the loser of the SEC game against either Oregon or Kansas.
Holly Crap! Looks like he should have broke his neck.
