My two most disliked radio voices: #2: Doc Thompson; #1: Mark Belling.
They sound somewhat alike, but Mark Belling more so.
Mostly between the hours of 8:00AM and 11:00AM on 820 WBAP AM in Dallas.
LOL!!
There is Geraldo on KLIF LOL!
I’m going with Ed Schultz who thinks he’s from Fargo, and that sorry excuse for a radio host who thinks having Bernie Sanders on every Friday does something for his show.
Melanie Morgan on KSFO.
Where`s Doc Thompson these days? He used to be on from 3-5 on Richmond`s WRVA-740.
The toughest for me to hear (though I like them both) are Belling and Bill Cunningham.
I used to listen to Mark Davis when I lived in Dallas years ago, waiting for Rush to come on. He always irritated me, but he talked a lot about his wife who was suffering from MS, I believe it was, and his daughter, Regina.
Can you tell me what ever happened with his wife? Do you know what the daughter is doing today?
Who is the other “Mark” who used to sub for Rush until listeners like me liked him better than Rush... and that was the last we heard from him.
He lives in NH, is from Canada, and has a British accent. Really funny guy.
Lately I can’t stand any of Limbaugh’s subs, and he seems to use them a lot while he goes off golfing... or whatever.
He’s taking this whole week off and the sub is insufferable.
Mark Steyn.
Tom Becka hands down the worst voice. He left KC in 2005 and was in Iowa and Nebraska since.
I am under the impression that Becka left Nebraska and is in Fargo, North Dakota now but not 100% sure. His Omaha station did cutbacks and fired him, but he was also doing some work in Fargo in 2011.
I searched out Glenn beck clips on youtube from his HLN show between 2006 and 20-08 after I was given a link to old radio archives at Beck’s website from a link now gone from the current site. Well I found a clip with Michael Smerconish filling in for Glenn Beck. IT was as goofy as seeing a two clips of Glenn Beck on Hard ball on MSNBC in 2003 and 2005 at the old Glenn Beck website.
Mark Davis' manner is easy to listen to, and I don't think he can be described as a RINO. IMHO
...and I thought I'd turned to the wrong station... :-/
He is still on. Pretty sure I listened to him live this week; they just haven’t updated podcasts since 11/19. They only put up select podcasts for Sirota & Brown, hopefully they don’t start that for him.
Diane Rehm on NPR has spasmodic dysphonia which makes it difficult to listen to her.
Ben doesn’t come on until 9:00 am. Ben is from Memphis, and has been on the radio since he was a little kid. I have never been crazy about him or Mark Davis, but have listened to WBAP for years on line. Ben is a site better than Glenn Beck, and a whole lot better than he was in Memphis.
This picture is several years old......
Mark’s wife died several years ago. He has remarried and has a 4 or 5 yo boy. Regina is all grown up. I don’t know what has happened to her. Her grandparents lived here in Memphis.
He’s now in Fargo. Sounds as though he gargled for years with Clorox.
