A LDS food storage list or your emergency essentials should contain edible ingredients that will keep for extremely long periods of time without refrigeration. Additionally, a LDS food storage should similarly provide a healthy diet, need no preparation, and have substantial calories.

Ohhhhh I love grits!
Gotta tell a story about my brother, a good southern boy, who went to a convention in the NE. He was telling them how his grandfather, no foolin’, actually grew a 10 pound grit!

Thanks, I may give that a go sometime myself!
As a diabetic, I use Dreamfields pasta, which unfortunately does not come with the squeeze packet of creamy Velveeta that I loved so well. LOL
