In one of the more surreal scenes in recent NASCAR memory, Jeff Gordon and Clint Bowyer set off a sequence of events during the Sunday Phoenix race that could have repercussions not just for next week, but for next season and the Sprint Cup championship.

I was just at this race today so I got to see it play out live and in person. First of all, congrats to Kevin Harvick and Richard Childress, secondly, I hope Nascar suspends Gordon for the final race and severely fines him.
Here comes the lame joke from me, you went to a Nascar race and a Hockey game broke out! (just kidding)
How many times does Booyah Bowyer have to wreck JG before it’s OK to retaliate?
I don’t really watch NASCAR, but in looking at the clip, Gordon took out two other drivers (?) in addition to Bowyer?
If he was flagged to go off and didn’t, he possibly could have caused injury to other drivers with the on purpose stuff.

They’ve been feuding all season long, starting when Bowyer took out Jeff (who was leading) at the end of the first Martinsville race.
Not this race, its not up to Jeff Gordon to decide the Cup. Hope Bowyer wrecks JJ next week

If only a election could be done like a NASCAR race.
I think the Bradster has it covered. Bowyer was racing for 3rd in the championship.
Great example for young people. If you want to settle scores, do it after the race one on one in private.

It did not look like that to me. I watched the first contact 3-4 times and it looked like Bowyer held his line and Gordon came down the track into him.

Dale Sr. would never have done what Gordon did. He would have gone over to his hauler and punched his lights out. Not destroy equipment. It was hard racing, you want to win. Dale was guilty of many of those accusations and he took em in stride that’s what made him GREAT!
Thats how I saw it too.
they will, promised retaliation next week. had to laugh at the camera crews running to keep up with Bowyer. who knew Nascar drivers could run so fast?
let them both duke it out in a mud-wrestling contest for charity.
Watch the tape again. Just as Bowyer came alongside Gordon, Bowyer’s car either came loose or he intentionally swerved, and Bowyer’s car RAN INTO GORDON’S! They BOTH then took out 2 other cars and then a 5th plowed into that pile of 4.
Even if Gordon had run into Bowyer, I think he had grounds.
