From the bottom of my heart, I thank you, and my family thanks you.
Amen. Dad was a marine and have been remembering him and the entire Corps this day.
It’s questionable if the Corps will survive the inclusion of the homo’s and now their jaunt into “diversity”. I put 22 years in, my son 8, and it seems as if once field grade is reached, it’s strictly politics. I will mourn it’s loss, and honor the men and women in the ranks that still believe in “ God, Country, and Corps.” Semper Fi is something the “Perfumed Princes” in the upper ranks have forgotten.
Happy Birthday from an alum of the only Army division ever commanded by Marine officers.
My late father served as a Marine Gunnery Sergeant in World War II, Korea and early Vietnam.
Sending a Marine to Afghanistan in a few days. He’s not my son but I’d be proud to call him that. He is a former student and current friend. He turned 20 today and I bought him a couple of beers at a local bar last weekend. Several off duty cops were there and didn’t say anything about it. One of them bought him a round himself. I pray for my Marine’s safety. He claims it’s just a job, but I had the opportunity to show him my sleeping babies when he was home. They sleep safely because of men like him. God bless our Marines and all of our armed forces.
Your post is a most humbling one.
May God bless and keep safe your “son”
What a wonderful picture! Every marine I’ve known is an incredible human being.
Wow. What an experience!
Those men had the bark on them, didn’t they? My dad was in World War Twice in Pacific theater.
