Yikes! That didn’t seem to be mere curiosity on the lion’s face.

I found it interesting that the lioness ignored the other little girl standing nearby ... was it her blond hair or the bright red bandana that attracted her?

I suppose that PETA would say that it’s mean to put that glass wall there.
I think the expression on that lioness’s face shows pretty well why you don’t want to meet up with a lion close and personal, unless you have a pretty big bore weapon at hand.
Actually, I’ve heard that when you have a pack of lions, the boss lion usually just lies around amidst his harem, while the lionesses go out and do most of the work of bringing back food.

I saw NOTHING agressive in the lions behavior whatsoever..I thought that the lion wanted to adopt her, not eat her.

Oh yes. Much as my pet cats like to swat and maul and “adopt” to death the cute little mice they find in my yard.

Yeah, that lion didn’t seem to be stalking her or challenging her. I think she just wanted a closer look and seemed surprised when the kid freaked out.

“Actually, Ive heard that when you have a pack of lions, the boss lion usually just lies around amidst his harem, while the lionesses go out and do most of the work of bringing back food”....That’s the way I had it envisioned, but then there’s those pesky polygamy laws.

I think the girl is quite safe. The plexiglass surround is safer than bars.

Actually, I agree. Her movements aren’t the stealthy, hunting style and her eyes - well, just look curious. Not that I’d want to meet that cat in the open...
