Romney was maniacal about staying on message. When Benghazi exploded in the president's face, the Romney camp outsourced the issue to talk radio. That's not leadership.

Romney did try, and the Press mercilessly attacked him for "jumping the gun" and "playing politics."

Obama has presided over the worst economy in memory – unemployment has hovered at 8% for almost four years; the price of gas has doubled; the national debt has grown by a third; long-term unemployment is up 87%; the number of Americans in poverty increased by 6.4 million; and the president’s signature initiative (Obamacare) has been consistently opposed by a majority of Americans since it passed two and a half years ago! His foreign policy consists of cringing, kowtowing and abject apologies – a foreign policy defined by the body of an American ambassador being dragged through the streets of a Third World sinkhole!

And people were able to justify giving him ANOTHER term because "four years really isn't enough time to get much done"......

Hey Feder, what was Obama’s message? He had “nothing.” Romney did talk at high levels about his plan. So, he had “something.” I would say it was Obama who beat something with nothing.

I've enjoyed Feder's writing in the past, but he whiffed on this one. Once Romney started with the criticism of Zero's mideast policies, he was actually blamed for causing the situation to worsen. The story became "Mitt's remarks may have fanned the flames", rather than "O sat on his thumb whikle Americans died". He hammered Benghazi in the second debate only to have Candy Crowley the Hindenberg lie to cover for O. The economy should have won it for him; but the media kept reporting that we're in a recovery and that jobs are being created (more lies). I think this race was unwinnable. 4 years of O's failures were not enough to separate the state of the economy from Bush in the minds of the idiotocracy.

The ignorant, filthy, sub-human, piece of crap, American pig-dog voter is responsible. They will get what they deserve. I hope I can avoid their justly earned punishment.

Romney ran a 'Dewey like race', as a manager.

He even picked a 'numbers guy' as his VP.

The face of the GOP is Karl Rove.

There is nothing in the GOP to excite anyone about freedom, it doesn't stand for freedom, it stands for management of the welfare state, and that is a losing message.

It was with the GOP during the Roosevelt/Truman days (only the popularity of Ike, could get passed it), and it is now.

What does the GOP stand for as a Party?

The GOP is nothing but a low tax liberal Party, it will only fight for low tax rates.

He tried. I doubt if there are many folks who could have realized the electorate has changed this much.

People in general cannot remember anything about the founding fathers, how they struggled to make this "GREAT EXPERIMENT", how we used to be a nation of proud people who just wanted to be left alone to make our way, (or our fortunes..)

We never used to beg for handouts, but with all the Blacks on welfare and just whiners in general....

Those generations who were never taught these things are now the MAJORITY!!!!

Worse, the Hispanics who at least will work could not have realized that Romney was their friend, NOT Obama.

Romney's message was Jobs, Jobs, Jobs.

Do you know what that sounds like to the welfare/entitlement/food stamps class??

It's a threat, it's frightening, and it's racist. Many of them have spent their entire life avoiding work.

Obama message was that the rich should pay for everything.

I don’t believe this loser shit for one New York minute. We weren’t beaten because he did or didn’t do that. We were beaten by a preponderance of loathsome hateful sloths that have been increased by Obama these last four years. We were beaten by the MSM, massive cheating, and crap carping like what you’ve just posted.

We lost because you can’t tell everyone how bad they have it when YOU are making sure they don’t have it that bad. Sure, lots of people out of work. But also true, lots of people getting extended unemployment bennies courtesy of the republicans. No pain, no pain. Time to stop and time to Spread the Pain.

Also, until such time as the republicans stop sighing and going all eeyore via the media, i.e. “oh well, it is what it is.” they will lose. You can’t have a media that wholesale fabricates reality and hope to tell voters some other version of reality. Republicans need to take the media out, Breitbart on steroids style, by any dirty means necessary. Otherwise, they are losers.

“How do you blow an election when your opponent presided over the worst economy in memory – unemployment has hovered at 8% for almost four years; the price of gas has doubled; the national debt has grown by a third; long-term unemployment is up 87%; the number of Americans in poverty increased by 6.4 million; and the president’s signature initiative (Obamacare) has been consistently opposed by a majority of Americans since it passed two and a half years ago? “

Then Feder says Romney’s problem was that he talked about the economy.

I don’t see how that question can be asked. It is very easy to lose an election when you have the whole big media machine dead set against you.

We still don’t know what Mitt’s politics are, or why he invested so many years of his life and 55 million (personal) dollars to become president.

We do know that Mitt is a political disaster, in 20 years of running for office, and breaking spending records in every race, Mitt has a single victory to his name.

Mitt served a single term as Governor, destroyed the state party, was forced to give up his hope of reelection, and left office with 34% approval, and turning the office over to the democrats ever since.

Without even looking into his long political history, didn’t his losing to the unfunded Huckabee and the old man McCain reveal how weak he is?

I think the massive voter fraud had something to do with that. 30% of the vote cast in the Philadelphia precincts where Republican observers were temporarily ejected were fraudulent, and not matched to names, with 99% for Obama.

Can’t blame Mitt for that.
